Minutes of the meeting held on Nov 9, 2011

Attendees: Ajay, Anita, Sanjeev, Thushar

• Team Asha Run (1): This is one or more calendar runs that Asha Bangalore has been organizing/supporting/associating with, over the years. It was felt that the definition of Asha Bangalore's involvement in the run needs to become more clear. Santhosh has been one of the prime movers of Team Asha runs all along and his perspective was felt to be important in order to take a decision. How Runner's High and Asha Bangalore will work together also needs to be defined

Action Item: Ajay to discuss with Santhosh and update the group on the above. Eventually, it would be good to have a joint meeting of Asha Bangalore and Runner's High

• Team Asha Run (2) : It was agreed that Team Asha runs at project sites is something that should be sustained and we should try to maintain the 2 such runs that we're doing each year. The runs help Team Asha runners and others interested to get a first hand feel of the projects and interact with the children and the community. This is believed to be a good way to spread awareness and sensitize people. We completed a run at Sita school in July and will undertake one at Timbaktu Badi (SAC) in December

Action Item: Thushar and Ajay to visit Timbaktu Badi in the weekend of Nov 26-27 to chalk out a running route and logistics for the trip. Date of the trip has tentatively been decided as the weekend of Dec 10-11. Thushar to coordinate the trip operations.

• Asha Bangalore Quiz: It was decided that Asha Bangalore will organize a quiz on the lines of Asha Hyderabad's ACE quiz. The plan is to make it an annual fundraiser. A trio of quizzers is keen to organize the quiz for Asha Bangalore from the content and on-stage event management point of view. They call themselves 'Nexus'. Our point of contact is a person named Naveen who's participated in Asha Hyderabad's ACE quiz and is, needless to say, an avid quizzer. Their service will be done pro bono. Asha Bangalore will be responsible for all expenses and event planning and execution. Thushar will be driving the effort with support from Sanketh and others as and when possible. If enough volunteers are available, a core team will be formed to drive the quiz. The quiz is planned to be had around april-may 2012.

Action Item: Thushar to coordinate with Naveen and get started, venue being first priority
