More accurately, handarbeit is used for "hand done". While it sometimes
refers to the pottery, it's actually usually the decoration. Sometimes
it's because there's incised work, or other times the glaze is hand
applied in a decorative pattern. For these items, it's the decoration
that's hand done, not the pottery.
