The American River College Association of Student Veterans welcomes student veterans, family members of veterans, and those who support veterans regardless of branch or time served. We define "Veteran" as anyone who as served in any branch of the armed services at any time. The ASV provides a safe environment for individuals to help one another facilitate the transition from military service to the college community by creating a positive social network based on fellowship, mentorship, and camaraderie. Through community and campus service, the ASV works to raise awareness about veterans issues and facilitate the growth of a positive and supportive social environment in order to assist veterans with a successful transition to civilian life.
