Hi Masud,
Just like Lawrence with his posting on the meter, you will have to post a link
for a scan of your two Yemen sheetlets, or upload the scans to the files section
of the group. File attachments to postings tp the group are automatically
removed. I hope this can be changed (though there may be resons for this which i
don't know).
Joachim
PS My apologies for not yet posting the promised further infos on the GCC Stamps
Exhibition in Muscat - just to busy at the moment after a prolonged absence from
work.

Hi all
I recently purchased this specimen of a meter from Yemen. There are spelling
mistakes in the meter.
Does anyone have any knowledge as to whether it was actually issued?

Different countries issued the stamps on Quaid-e-Azam (Founder of Pakistan). I
also need postal used covers, FDCs, corner block pair and single. If you have
any of the said items for exchange then kindly contact me. In exchange I can
provide you any thing from Pakistan.

I recently bought, through a second-hand bookseller in Britain, some good books
on Yemen and the rest of the Arabian Peninsula. According to the name stamped
into the books, they all come from the library of one M.A.M. Graham who I
believe has written on Yemen / Aden stamps. Does anyone have any information on
his whereabouts? Or other information about this collector, his collection and
his philatelic research? I hope that the sale of the books does not mean he has
died.

Dear all,
The 15th GCC Stamp Exhibition in Muscat ended on 19 November, and list members
may be interested in a few details on this show. I will send more postings with
details over the next few days. If anyone is interested in a particular feature,
please ask!
There had been some confusion about dates and venue in the run-up to the show. I
was therefore most pleasantly surprised to find that zhe show was very well
organised and worth visiting. Oman Post and our friends from the Philatelic
Bureau have done an excellent job – congratulations to them!
Being a GCC Exhibition, the show included stands by the six GCC postal
administrations and philatelic exhibits from all the 6 GCC states. Although not
officially announced, there were stands by around a dozen dealers (or
collector-dealers) from Oman and other GCC states as well as three non-GCC
dealers – Franz Fedra (Oman's international stamp agent), David Stella and Ron
van Melle. Material was mainly from the Gulf, nothing much from Yemen and other
countries, but I may have overlooked some interesting items as my own focus is
so much on Oman.
The venue proved to be an excellent choice. Qurum City Centre is a new shopping
mall, and the exhibition was ideally located between the two mall entrances so
that visitors to the mall could not fail to notice the show. Many shoppers and
visiting tourists had a look and bought philatelic souvenirs.
There was the usual "philatelic passport", and Oman Post distributed a number of
gadgets. I shall list them later and put pictures in the album, as well as other
pictures from the show. Three stamp issues were issued by Oman Post in November,
and all of them were available at the show, together with FDCs etc. These stamp
issues were
10 November 2009:
al-Quds: Capital of Arab Culture
sheet of 9 stamps 250 Baiza each
souvenir sheet with 250 Baiza stamp
15 November 2009:
15th GCC Stamps Exhibition Muscat
sheet of 9 different stamps 200 Baiza each
stamp booklet (600 B.) with 12 self-adhesive stamps of 50 Baiza
18 November 2009:
Oman's 39th National Day
sheet of 10 stamps (Sultan Qaboos) of 200 Baiza
More infos to follow!
