This is heartening, yet we're still stuck with
Bush. Well, hey. We can't let the bastards get
us down, now can we? Happy Birthday Dr. Steiner!

Cheers,
Jennifer

Thank you Sue, for this very interesting and thought-provking post!

At 15:48 25.02.2005, you wrote:

This is very, very interesting, because your own matamorphosis in this life
actually reflects the evolution of the Christ Impulse in human history.
From the days of the early church onwards, the Christ-idea spread among
simple-minded people with a very rich life of feeling, and a millennium
later the Scholastics emerged, headed by Thomas Aquinas, to defend
Christianity intellectually through systemitized theology. After that, the
age of science arose, gradually putting religion and theology in disrepute,
making it unscientific. So when Rudolf Steiner introduced "spiritual
science," this was to serve as a bridge between the scientific and the
spiritual. This is not properly understood when people object with
justification that anthroposophy is not science proper, because the
laboratory of this science is closed to the uninitiated, i.e. the
overwhelming majority of us. In science, you don't have to go into the lab
to verify something as long as the research in question produces tangible
results: Technology, machinery, gadgets, etc. That's why people don't say
"science," they say "science and technology." "Science and technology,"
they say, not science alone, has solutions to this, that, and the other
problem. Spiritual science, on the other hand, is not just "science alone,"
and it is not just a field of research for the initiated that is
inaccessible to the uninitiated; it's a mode of thinking, of comprehension,
of cognition, that everyone possesses who has read a single popular tabloid
science magazine from last week or from 150 years ago, but is usually
totally unaware of its potential for the spiritual.

The scientific mode of cognition has now been evolving in humanity for
almost six centuries, and just like with all other modes of consciousness,
there are some people who tend to get stuck in it; they dig themselves into
it and refuse to move on. This is especially evident in debating techniques
we see today. Many people are left with the imnpression that unless they
can conduct actual scientific research themselves, in any field, they're
being scientific if they can prove or disprove all sorts of things. This is
especially absurd in internet discussions that we see everywhere. How do
you prove something in an email, or on a webpage? By linking to various
documents available online. This is reference, not proof, because URL links
and webpages don't prove a damn thing, regardless of how informative and
enlightening it is, and regardless of how authoritative the webmasters and
their sources are. What it often boils down to is faith in authority,
appeal to authority - not to the power of thought possessed by the other
party in the debate, which is the only "authority" that counts. But you see
people falling into these silly traps all the time. Someone says "Prove
it!" and the other party runs to Google like an obedient rabbit and digs up
some URLs. And in science, one is always asked for references to peer
reviews. Peer reviews comprise the Bible of everything scientific; if it's
there, it's true, if not, it's nonsense or pseudo-scientific.

There is an urgent need for spiritual-scientific peer reviews.

The scientific mode of thinking has not evolved for us to prove and
disprove all sorts of things up and down the block, which is a waste of
energy worse than computer games, but to be able to grasp our existence in
a manner that makes religion, faith, and theology superfluous. Spiritual
science has been brought to us through a great price paid by the founders
of the movement, and in spite of very powerful, fierce opposition. Helena
Blavatsky was targeted by Western and Eastern occult brotherhoods alike;
the Western brotherhoods imposed so-called 'occult imprisonment' upon her
to disable her seership; the Eastern brotherhoods released her from this on
the condition that she would serve their own ulterior anti-Western motives.
She was vulnerable to this kind of manipulation and exploitation because
her methods were atavistic. Rudolf Steiner, on the other hand, who was
using the scientific method, could not be stopped, so the Opposing Powers
and the brotherhoods that serve them - please notice that I'm using the
present tense here - had to do something much more dramatic by stirring up
World War I, which disturbed the spiritual worlds to such an extent that
the Doctor could no longer investigate the deepest secrets of the
Hierarchies and the Gospel Events. These fields of research were now closed
to him, so he focused instead upon the journey of the human soul and spirit
between death and rebirth, and then he also began to investigate the very
source of the disturbance, the spiritual opposition, and came face to face
with his enemies and their human servants. When the outbreak of WW I was
followed by the Bolshevik revolution in Russia a few years later, Steiner
felt compelled to speak openly about the sinister activities of the secret
lodges of the West. (I'll try to come back to this.)

>I know Him now.. at least.. I THINK I KNOW Him.. because I feel Him!
>Anthroposophy is a most marvellous and inspirational tool ( Mich-ael's
>sign post), but let's not forget, that Anthroposophy can also be construed
>as a 'secret' brotherhood or 'cult'. The misconception, perpetuated by the
>opposing forces ( I have recently been accused of having ' folkish
>notions' .. by a self confessed angry socialist), have divided the
>Spiritual Science community into "different" streams. The opposing forces
>are relentless in trying to discredit Anthroposophy...this is a reality.
>Steiner indicated, that within 100 years of it's inception, Anthroposophy
>would face a crisis and was in danger of disappearing. I've seen this
>dichotomy within Waldorf school communities and I've wrestled with it.

From time to time, Rudolf Steiner compared the anthroposophical meetings,
where lectures were held and so forth, to meetings among the early
Christians in the catacombs, underground. Spiritual science is a
subculture, a counterculture, a quiet revolution. And look what happened
when it was recognized that Christianity couldn't be beaten, that it would
go mainstream. They made it a state religion; they dogmatized it, created
terror, tyranny, and oppression in its name, while those who stuck with the
real Christ-idea took it underground as heretics, hiding it from the
Establishment.

Now, 90 years after Steiner told Rittelmeyer that humanity would have to
wait another hundred years for anthroposophy if they rejected it then, the
opposition is hard at work to neutralize it. Anthroposophy won't be
dogmatized; the age of religion is over, and dogma don't work any more. But
it will be exteriorized, trivialized, vulgarized, materialized,
superficialized, popularized, commercialized,- until what it once was is no
longer recognized We may even get a Global Threefolding consisting of
something similar to Bush, Sharon, and Putin as a Political Trinity, Axis
of Goodness against the Heretics of Evil.

Steiner once said that in the future, children would be given vaccines
against spirituality by the health authorities, and he amphasized that he
was saying this not as a warning or possibility, but as a *prediction." Now
that's heavy duty. (Reference anyone?)

The Voice of the White House

http://www.tbrnews.org/Archives/a1409.htm

"The information contained in this article is confidential, and it
may not be intended for your use.

If you are not the intended recipient, any use, disclosure, copying
or retention of this document is unauthorized.'

(Note: This is something that people with pretentious websites
proclaiming their supreme intelligence love to stick at the head of
their mawkishness in the hopes that readers will be impressed with
the gravity of the contents. The contents generally consist of a
number of weird conspiracy theories coupled with erratic but very
loud comments of the owner of the website. Why people are convinced
that the rest of the world is interested in their views on anything
other than their immediate suicide, escapes me…..)

February 23, 2004: "An absolute non-issue with the American print
and TV media is the control by very powerful gays of the top policy
levels of the White House. Growingly pointed comments inside the
Beltway social clubs, homes and watering places about Karl
Rove's "good friend" `Jeff Gannon' are being very thoroughly
ignored by the mainline press.

There are two reasons for this crashing silence. One is the fact
that a large number of powerful and wealthy Republicans are gay and
do not want their wives and children to discover that they put on
leather underwear and spend their spare time at the Eagle over on
New York Avenue or getting rough trade action at the Crew Club. Fat
Karl Rove was seen by one of my people entering a private homosexual
orgy at a five-star Washington hotel over the Mid-Atlantic Leather
(MAL) weekend last year. All the self-hating loyal Republican gays
at the no-pants party, many of them Senatorial aides and military
types, of course pretended they didn't recognize him, and who can
blame them - imagine how repulsive Fat Karl must look without his
clothes. The report that came back was that Fat Karl greatly enjoyed
the supervision of a certain hairy 350-lb. Leather Dominator, who
had won the Miss Virginia Daddy Bear title at the MAL festivities.

Karl used hang out at JR's, which is on 17th between P&S, before he
became so well-known. This is a "respectable" gay bar for discreet
people who do not wear mesh panties, high-heeled pumps and wear
terrible wigs. How many people know about these activities? In
Washington, a hell of a lot of the prominent. But very few of them
dare to open their mouths because of their own small problems.

Power seems to draw gays like moths to a flame.

Johnson's top aide, Walter Jenkins, used to hang out in public
lavatories, propositioning street bums but people like Rove, and
others, are much more discreet.

This country is now completely and thoroughly run by a triad
composed of Christian fanatics, sailor-chasing gays and rabid
Likudists.

The Jesus Freaks are universally dimwitted and thoroughly obnoxious
(except for the oh-so-sweet Ralph Reed…the eternally youthful Reed
is in several camps)) but not numerous enough to be really dangerous
(but one of their top creatures just loves to rub down muscular
young servicemen, many of whom will never be transferred away from
the fleshpots of the Beltway) and the gays are mean, self-hating
elitists who have no problem bringing their sleazy lovers into the
Imperial Presence. It is quite a coup to being a well-built Marine
into the White House for a "private tour." Most grunts are not
sophisticated and seeing their host being treated with deference by
security people and staff is a powerful aphrodisiac.

There is an expensive apartment, with mirrors on the bedroom and
bathroom ceilings, over near DuPont Circle that certain powerful
senators take turn visiting with their pickups. At least old Barney
Frank is out in the open about his orientation but some of the
others, many of whom we can see on CNN preaching and piously touting
Family Values, twenty minutes after they have serviced a well-hung
sailor in the security of the DuPont Love Nest, and pretend to love
their wives while dreaming of the bulging and tattooed arms of a
lumberjack from Montana. I could discuss other parts of the male
anatomy but arms will suffice. For now.

The Likudists are the most dangerous of all because they are all
deep-dyed and ultra fanatic supporters of Israel and they are in
defacto control of American foreign policy. It is these creeps that
are pushing Bush into a new war with Syria because they consider
that country to be a threat to them. They manipulated Bush into the
Iraqi Adventure for the same reason.

However, it must be said that Fat Karl the Eunuch was right there,
hissing into the hairy Imperial Ear, that a wartime president
traditionally could do no wrong and could establish all kinds of
delicious controls over a possibly restive population. Rove
supported the Likudists and engineered that very funny, and
comically phony, 'Abraham Lincoln' `Mission Accomplished' farce.

Karl is very clever (see `Wag the Dog ` for more concrete examples)
but a mean, spiteful and very vindictive creature whose self-
loathing is equaled only by his total control over the weak-willed
and easily led Bush.

When I get back a report I loaned to someone, I will be happy to
discuss the background and current activities of Ken Mehlman, the
head of the Republican Party and, like Fat Karl the Eunuch, a warm
friend of the President…and others. Many others. And there are
letters, too, and confidential reports. And more people to discuss
with you and your readers.

`Oh, what a tangled web we weave/ When first we practice to
deceive.'

I know about these fag bars and cock emporiums because it is my job
to make sure there are no scandals to disturb the Rabid Rove the
Queen of the Republican's goal of being the only political party in
the U.S.. I personally have never been in a gay bar but people who
work for me have and only because they are following certain
interesting people. Eventually, all of this will end up in the print
media and you can remember my discussions when that happens. Many of
these unfortunates are eagerly in favor of a large army because it
improves their choice of stud boyfriends .

Most of these creeps could be easily locked up but they say that
punishing a homosexual by putting him in jail is like punishing a
moth by locking him in a coat closet. And besides, who would run the
country then?

Malice and disapproval aside, the real problem here is this: George
W. Bush, supported closely by Karl Rove, was reelected as President
of the United States on the so-called Moral Majority vote. In sum,
Bush, via Rove, was projected as a moral man who would return a
hedonistic America to the simpler virtues of a bygone era. This
would be a moral crusade with strong religious overtones. Rove, who
is brilliant if depraved, saw this and was successful. A large part
of the American public, unhappy with what they saw as debilitating
liberalism, abortion on demand, disgusting gay marriage and other
forms of what they considered moral decay, put Bush back in office.

What will happen when these devout and angry people discover that
their beloved symbolic President is just as bad as the evil, liberal
Clinton? It was the Christian Right, financed by the weird Mellon
heir, who harassed Clinton and got him impeached because of a seedy
affair with the zaftig Monica Lewinski. Now they have to deal with
rampant male whores prancing around the White House in consort with
a small army of closet queens and all of whom very obviously have
the ear, and the confidence, (and hopefully, that's all they have)
of their "moral" choice for President. Shakespeare said that hell
had no fury like a woman scorned and from the letters and emails we
are getting here, the duped and conned Moral Majority types are
going to be a source of great trouble for Bush. How can this happen,
you ask? After all, Bush has been elected for four more disastrous
years.

The Congressional Mid-Term elections are coming up and betrayed and
angry members of the Religious Right will not vote for Bush-type
Congressmen and will either not vote or will vote out what they will
see as co-conspirators and traitors to their cause. This is the very
real danger and since the smelly and mangy cat is out of the bag
now, all Bush and Rove can do is to try to find some kind of
sensational disaster to cloud the issue as much as possible. (`Al
Quaeda-trained Eskimo terrorists have just blown up the Alaska
pipeline!')

In addition to exposing the freak show in the Monkey Palace, here is
a bit more information for your mills to grind. I did not go to
Europe with St. George but have access to the official, and
unofficial, reports (I have connections with the tour) and you all
might be interested to note that the so-called `New Beginning with
Old Europe' was a dismal failure. There were the obligatory press PR
pictures of Bush smiling and shaking hands with various European
heads of state but his goal, to have Europe send troops to Iraq so
he could deal militarily with Iran and Syria, ended in complete
disaster. The French treated George very coldly and he was told to
stop threatening world peace and get out of Iraq.

Neither the French nor the Germans will send any troops to support
Bush's new `Drang Nach Osten' and although the initial reports of
the meeting with Putin are not all in, it appears that Bush got his
tail caught in the door again. We know that the Oligarchy in Russia,
made up of street punks, tried to sell the Russian oil and gas
interests to a consortium of British and Americans but Putin put a
stop to it. That's why the American press rants about Vladimir not
being democratic enough. In truth, the big oil people want back the
money they paid to the now-defunct Oligarchy but Bush was, in
essence, told by Putin to piss up a rope. Vladimir is a very
dedicated and very capable head of state and his interests are, as
he sees it, to advance Russia's economy, not to cater to the
whinings of George Bush and his oil barons.

The general feeling in Russian, French and German diplomatic,
political and social circles is that Bush is a menace to world peace
and ought to be removed from office before he starts a major war.
There is already a major economic war raging with almost all of the
world joined to shut down the dollar, spike the cannons of American
dominant business interests and bring down, or neutralize, Bush and
his cronies. This is all very well and good but all of this
clandestine, and very effective, economic warfare will do terrible
damage to the American people.

Bush frankly doesn't give a damn as long as he gets his money in
front. This has always been the way he has operated- borrowing
money from family friends, gutting the business ventures they paid
for and stuffing his obscene profits into his pockets… and overseas
bank accounts."

"Will You"

by bradford riley

Down stream in time we sift the treasure
Lacking in our wits to even measure,
How stands a human being, the human in us,
When our thoughts we begin to trust?

The opening bud where gathers hopeful bees
Our stymied thought senses the fragrant breeze
And untapped hidden nectar stirs the soul
That we are rooted in the world and the world's goal.

That our objective inner world is the world's as well
Few thinkers have arisen on the Earth to tell.
The Mask of hidden karmic treasure, was revealed,
In which our very souls were formed and congealed.

But still the bees buzz round the unopened buds
Of millions of humanity who cow like chew their cuds.
The cattle is prepared for ever better slaughter,
While orphaned ANTHROSOPHIA, their disowned daughter,

Must beg for crumbs and wander in her rags round BMW's
Who perpetuated the realm of world rule in George W.
You'd think that human beings were some mirage invented
And the Big Bang had arrived all sulphur scented,

So as to belittle the efforts that Initiates like You
Who revealed to us how history has carried through,
To the Foundations of Golgotha and the human King of Fire,
Who was a Kingly human being that Christ Inspired.

No, human beings are disposal rags and history is Orwellian.
The foundations of the human heart, a pump, the gods contrarian
Nothing is as what it seems to be,
And Truth are feasts of lies that they told to me.

There, when you spoke, and history and hearts revealed
How Ancient fire, Saturn Gods, had humanity congealed,
And Blood and Fire and the child I AM arose from Earth,
Each living thought you carved was a Michael birth.

Come friends the mask of history has been torn free
A thousand hidden riddles are there for us to see,
And now the buds are opening and the scent is rich and rare,
And butterflys and bees the Cosmic nectar share.

Will You?

Common Sense Is Anathema To Bible-believing Creationists
By Lee Salisbury
Feb 26, 2005, 19:51

http://www.axisoflogic.com/artman/publish/article_15949.shtml

"Is the public well served when clergy and legislators promote ideas
defying logic and science and for which there is no better evidence
for than a literal Snow White or a literal Peter Pan?

The religious-right and its advocates, mainly fundamentalist clergy
and their legislator-favorites believe the Genesis creation story is
factually accurate, literal truth. Does science affirm this
creationist view? Is a literal creationist account something a
rational person accepts? Let's look at the Book of Genesis and
consider a few of the many questions an honest inquirer should ask.

On the first day, God created light calling it day and darkness
calling it night with a morning and an evening. There is yet no sun.
Science tells us that the sun is the primary source of light in our
universe. Mr. Creationist, please explain where does light come from
when there is no sun? If you say the light came from God, than you
acknowledge darkness came from God. Why did God create darkness when
the universe was already dark? Without a sun for earth to rotate
around, how could there be a morning and evening, a day and night?

On the second day, God created a firmament or expanse to divide the
waters below the firmament from the waters above the firmament. God
called the firmament Heaven. Mr. Creationist, of what was the
firmament comprised that enabled it to overrule the force of gravity
and keep the waters above from crashing down on the earth? Why
hasn't the Hubbell Space Telescope that sees 15 billion light-years
into space ever detected a firmament, a heaven, or this heavenly
ocean of water? Creationists say the water came down in Noah's
flood. If Noah's flood is historically accurate, why do
archaeological and geological finds show no Flood indicators in
ancient settlements like the 9,000 year old Catalhoyuk in Turkey, a
short distance from Mt. Ararat? Humans were just as wicked after the
Flood as before the Flood. What did the Flood accomplish? Does the
Flood reveal an all-wise, omniscient God?

On the third day, God gathered the waters and the land under the
firmament and called them Sea and Earth. Then God created grass,
herbs, fruit trees, and their respective seeds. At this point in
creation there was no sun. Biology teaches that plants need
photosynthesis for the sun's light energy to convert carbon dioxide
and water into nutrients. If the creation days are epochs biology
tells us the plants would die without the sun and photosynthesis.
Mr. Creationist, if God is an intelligent designer, why didn't God
create the sun before He created the plants?

On the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and stars in the
heavens for signs, seasons, days, and years. Some suggest this was
the Big Bang? Astronomers estimate the Big Bang was 15 billion years
ago. Adding Luke's 4,000-year genealogical record from Adam to Jesus
and the 2,000 years from Jesus to the present suggest the universe
is about 6,000 years old. Mr. Creationist, how do you reconcile the
huge difference of the Bible's 6,000 year age of the universe and
the astronomer's 15 billion years? Astronomy contradicts the Bible's
reliability.

Astronomers tell us there are billions of other galaxies in the
universe each with billions and billions of stars. The Bible tells
us God named every star. Is it rational or logical to accept that
the God who supposedly: 1) created days and nights without a sun; 2)
created plants without the sun's needed photosynthesis; 3) punished
humanity with a Flood knowing humanity would continue in the same
wickedness…created and named all those stars in a 24 hour day just
6,000 years ago?

Mr. Creationist, today we know the earth is spherical. You teach
that when Jesus comes a second time, Christians are raptured and go
up to meet Jesus in the air. How do Christians from the United
States going up to meet Jesus and Christians from Australia going up
to meet Jesus ever all meet this Jesus when they are going in
opposite directions from opposite sides of the earth?

Without considering the 5th and 6th days of creation in which Adam
and Eve eat from a tree of knowledge and converse with talking
snakes, these are a few preliminary questions that any person with a
wee bit of common sense should ask believers in a literally factual
Bible. Amazingly, creationists have no rational, evidence-based
answers for these questions. Even more amazing, the media sits bye
and never challenges their specious answers concocted solely to
justify their theological wet dreams.

Is the public well served when clergy and legislators promote ideas
defying logic and science and for which there is no better evidence
for than a literal Snow White or a literal Peter Pan? Should such
people be respected especially when they are in positions that frame
public policy and law? You decide!"

Now that's really something for NASA and the observatories I'd say.

Now we have seen that guiding Beings are everywhere. We have seen
with the earth, how the higher spiritual Beings - Angels,
Archangels, Archai - descended, and at a time when humanity could
not as yet help itself, they guided it until it reached a certain
height. These are the spiritual beings of the Hierarchies who had
reached their maturity in earlier times; but when this height is
reached, when those Beings who had descended from the heights reach
their goal, then other Beings have to become the leaders and guides
of the said nations. When nations have to rise in a certain way
still higher than their highest point, leading personalities have to
give themselves up of their own free will to become the bearers of
higher spiritual Beings; only then does it become possible to lead
the nation a few stages beyond that which was originally planned for
it. But in such cases one thing must happen; those who descend into
the beings who have to lead the nation to a still higher point of
civilisation, must take upon themselves all the Karma which the
nation has been accumulating. This is the important law as regards
taking upon oneself the Karma of nations and of races. From a
definite point of time the guiding personalities have themselves to
bear all the Karma of those nations and races.

Now this is really something. Imagine a higher spiritual Being, a
Spirit of Personality, for instance, and Archai, ensouling George W.
Bush and taking upon himself all of America's karma. Wow.

And now for the real fire, folks. Pay very close attention to this:

Thus we build up our idea of evolution from the point when it
begins, up to the time when one can give out, can create. The idea
of the creator rises before our spiritual sight, and we say to
ourselves, each separate being develops from the creature to the
creator. The Archangels developed to the human stage on ancient Sun,
the Spirits of Personality on ancient Saturn, the Angels on the
ancient Moon, we men, upon the earth; and so it will continue
always, in all times, Beings will be developing into men.

This insight has been paid for with blood, my friends. This is
heresy! People have been murdered by the church for suggesting that
Christ is a created, evolving being, that the gods are created,
evolving beings just like you and me - that they were *all*
once "human like the rest of us." So this comes to us at a great
price.

And now for the big, big, big questions:

Does all that continue endlessly? Is it really only a succession of
circles, in which is repeated on the Sun that which previously took
place on Saturn, only that a number of beings are added to the
former ones with each circle? Is it really all, that out of
originally helpless creatures beings should ever be developing into
those who can sacrifice themselves? This is not at all the case! But
the great question arises: Is the humanity which was experienced on
Saturn by the Spirits of Personality, the humanity experienced on
the Sun by the Archangels, and that experienced by the Angels on
Mars, are these all the same kind of humanity as that which we are
now experiencing upon earth? When we consider the nature of the
Angels, for instance, do we see in them the image of what we shall
be in our next Jupiter epoch? Do we see in the spirits of fire on1y
the image of those beings we shall ourselves be in Venus? Can it
really be said with reason that, in reaching to higher stages in the
evolution of the world, and rising even into the Hierarchies, we
shall develop only into Beings which exist already? Has our path of
evolution been trod already by others ? These are the great
questions which each of you may ask who has let these lectures act
impartially upon his soul. Have we only to do with a humanity which
is externally repeated in the same way, so that we are now as the
Spirits of Personality were on the Saturn, the Fire Spirits or
Archangels on the Sun, the Angels on the Moon? For us this might be
important, but for the higher Gods it would only be a multiplication
of their own creations, and they would not have achieved any special
progress. But there is another question: Will men, just because they
have become men upon the earth, be enabled some day, perhaps, to
develop into beings capable of something of which the Angels are
incapable, something of which also the Archangels and the Spirits of
Personality are incapable? Has the whole of Creation learnt
something through having produced men after the Archangels, and
after the Angels? Has Creation made progress through that? Is it
possible that man, because he was fitted to descend deeper, will,
therefore, have gained the possibility, the right, to rise still
higher? We ask ourselves this as a sort of consequential question.
The remainder of our considerations must be dedicated to this
question: What is the whole significance and importance of man in
the Cosmos and his relation to the Hierarchies? What will Man become
in the succeeding stages of the Hierarchies?

These are very grand questions, and of the greatest importance for
our understanding of freedom and free will, and for spiritualized
anarchism, anarchosophy. The final bomb is coming up in Lecture 10,
so stay tuned!"

Below is an example of the problem. The instincts and double we
carry and that exists in the current Gay Republican Senators and
Karl Rove Gannon revelations reveal how the Christian Right, loaded
with suppressed and dual sexaul impulses, are severed from what
comes out of their polluted mouths. It is a "Handmaids Tale" recipe
for disaster.

The doubles of these power hungry monsters gladly, and glad
handedly, unabashedly, promote a split psyche. The name of this
serial killer was Bind, Torture, Kill. How this develops in Amerika
is an easy read. We gladly breed schools of bloated, double
standard, monsters, that allow the cunning forces of the double to
rise up with full permission of the host ego. Any questions.

"After 31 years of cat and mouse, police say they have captured "BTK
killer" and linked him to at least 10 murders. Suspect is a Cub
Scout leader active in church.

http://www.dailybreeze.com/news/nationworld/articles/1310202.html

WICHITA, Kan. - A manhunt for a serial killer who for 31 years
taunted police with letters about his crimes ended today when
authorities said they finally caught up with the BTK killer and
linked him to at least 10 murders.

"The bottom line: BTK is arrested," Wichita Police Chief Norman
Williams said today, setting off applause from a crowd that included
family members of some of the victims.

The suspect was identified as Dennis L. Rader, a 59-year-old city
worker in nearby Park City, who was arrested Friday. Police did not
say how they identified Rader as a suspect or whether he has said
anything since his arrest.

BTK -- a self-coined nickname that stands for "Bind, Torture, Kill" -
- terrorized Wichita throughout the 1970s and then resurfaced about
a year ago after 25 years of silence. The killer had been linked to
eight slayings between 1974 and 1986, but police said today they had
identified two more, from 1985 and 1991.

Rader, a Cub Scout leader who was active at his Lutheran church,
lived with his wife, neighbors said. Public records indicate they
have two grown children. Messages left for family members were not
returned on Saturday, and no one answered the door at the home of
his in-laws.

A few neighbors recalled receiving small favors from Rader, but most
interviewed Saturday said the municipal codes enforcement supervisor
was an unpleasant man who often went looking for reasons to cite his
neighbors for violations of city codes.

"A part of me was scared when I heard, because I talked to him. It's
a little creepy," said Chris Yoder, 23, who once lived nearby.

Rader has yet to be charged, but a jubilant collection of law
enforcers and community leaders told the crowd in City Council
chambers they were confident the long-running case could now be
closed.

"Victims whose voices were brutally silenced by the evil of one man
will now have their voices heard again," Kansas Attorney General
Phill Kline said.

Rader was being held at an undisclosed location, and it was not
immediately clear if he had a lawyer.

Prosecutor Nola Foulston said the death penalty would not apply to
any crime committed before 1994, when the death penalty was
introduced in Kansas.

The BTK slayings began in 1974 with the strangulations of Joseph
Otero, 38, his wife, Julie, 34, and their two children. The six
victims that followed were all women, and most were strangled to
death.

Along with his grisly crimes, the killer stoked fears in Wichita by
sending rambling letters to the media, including one in which he
named himself BTK for "Bind them, Torture them, Kill them." In
another he complained, "How many do I have to kill before I get my
name in the paper or some national attention?"

But he stopped communicating in 1979 and remained silent for more
than two decades before re-establishing contact last March with a
letter to The Wichita Eagle about an unsolved 1986 killing.

The letter included a copy of the victim's driver's license and
photos of her slain body. The return address on the letter said it
was from Bill Thomas Killman -- initials BTK.

Since then, the killer had sent at least eight letters to the media
or police, including three packages containing jewelry that police
believed may have been taken from BTK's victims. One letter
contained the driver's license of victim Nancy Fox.

The new letters sent chills through Wichita but also rekindled hope
that modern forensic science could find some clue that would finally
lead police to the killer.

Thousands of tips poured in, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation
gathered thousands of DNA swabs in connection with the BTK
investigation. In the end, DNA evidence was the key to cracking the
case, said Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

"The way they made the link was some DNA evidence, that they had
some DNA connection to the guy who they arrested," Sebelius said in
an interview with The Associated Press. She did not elaborate.

The two newly identified cases were similar to the early ones with
one exception, Sedgwick County Sheriff Gary Stead said: The bodies
had been removed from the crime scenes. One of the victims lived on
the same street as Rader.

"We as investigators keep an open mind. But only now are we able to
bring them together as BTK cases," he said.

On Friday, investigators searched Rader's house and seized computer
equipment.

Authorities, who generally declined to answer questions in detail
after announcing the arrest, had little to say about why BTK
resurfaced after years without contact.

"It is possible something in his life has changed. I think he felt
the need to get his story out," said Richard LaMunyon, Wichita's
police chief from 1963 to 1989.

Well,I fully agree with your statement here!
But – You know, because of you,Taz,I haven't slept all night
Why? – Ah,it's this comparison,Knut Hamsun and Elia Kazan,I find it
very problematic

My impression is: Like most of the McCarthy folks Elia Kazan was an
opportunist,he was a weak person,he wanted to save his own ass at
all costs
He just wanted to be on the side that's winning

Knut Hamsun was an altogether different kind of person, all his life
he was willing and ready to stand alone, never afraid to swim against
the current,he didn't care anything what others thought about
him, this is clear and evident,if you read his many news paper
articles (later collected in book form),he had so many opinions and
they always tended to be sharp and controversial
I don't believe his misguided and disgraceful support for the nazis
arose from cheap opportunism or cowardice, also he was an extremely
stubborn man- not likely to accept a good advice from a friend—There
was something untamed, wild and weird about Hamsun, and one can
understand why Henry Miller idolized him so much,it was precisely
these qualities the young Henry M. needed while he was destined to
later become quite a shocker himself!

But,then,of course—One could argue that all this would only make
Hamsun a much WORSE criminal than Kazan! He probably was,and I
certainly have no desire to white-wash him
But I'll freely admit that I find him 12 times more interesting than
Elia Kazan (I agree he's a fine director)

Sorry about depriving you of sleep, but I didn't exactly compare these
gentlemen. The only thing they had in common was backing the wrong horse in
times of challenge and controversy. Hamsun was a misguided fool; Kazan was
a coward. There's a difference.

Neither of them was a criminal. They were both honorable men. The worst
injustices and oppressions in this world usually carry the support of the
noblest intentions.

**Jeesh, why did they have to pick 'Gannon' of all names?!?
All we've ever enjoyed is a Guinness and some potato pie (?)
Why didn't they pick a name like Riley or something;)
But, seriously, for the good gay men in our midst, I read that Barney
Frank was shedding light (in Ted Rall article) about how 50 some
journalists have been silenced (to death) for their free speach. This
was something my hubby was reading to me last night. Is this actually
so?!? For freedom and love we are put to death.

Hi Sophia and Dottie!
Well, with all due respect for Paramahansa Yogananda
(and I don't think I need to say that !)
I think he got it wrong here,at least the way I read him,he
explicitly states, that Elisha was a former incarnation of Jesus
Christ- If we translate this to Anthro Tongue,we have: Elisha was
the reincarnated Zarathustra, this would mean that Zarathustra had
incarnated at least 3 times within a 1000 years, which of course is
possible – But I don't recall Dr.Steiner ever pointed to Elisha as
being Zarathustra, one would think Steiner had revealed this in his
Gospel Lectures – I just checked the search machine of the Steiner
Archive, there were no matches found for "Elisha"
So,well,I'm sorry to be such a Party Stopper here, but ya know

YOu brave anthros (or what title suits) who, like Pacino (I think?)

You freely hand out flashlight-questions, rabbit holes, and blue or

Dear Friends
Gulf War syndrome turns out to be no mystery: it's depleted
uranium
poisoning. It is a death sentence. The US is accelerating its use
of these
horrible weapons in the Iraq War. It is now in the process of
slowly
killing millions of civilians as well as combatants by poisoning
the
Middle East environment.

This is a scandal that needs airing! Please pass it on.

Mushrooming depleted uranium (DU) scandal blamed
by Bob Nichols

Considering the tons of depleted uranium used by the U.S., the
Iraq
war can truly be called a nuclear war.

Preventive Psychiatry E-Newsletter charged Monday that the
reason
Veterans Affairs Secretary Anthony Principi stepped down earlier
this
month was the growing scandal surrounding the use of uranium
munitions
in the Iraq War.

Writing in Preventive Psychiatry E-Newsletter No. 169, Arthur N.
Bernklau, executive director of Veterans for Constitutional Law in
New
York, stated, "The real reason for Mr. Principi's departure was
really
never given, however a special report published by eminent
scientist
Leuren Moret naming depleted uranium as the definitive cause
of the
'Gulf War Syndrome' has fed a growing scandal about the
continued use
of uranium munitions by the US Military."

Bernklau continued, "This malady (from uranium munitions), that
thousands of our military have suffered and died from, has finally
been identified as the cause of this sickness, eliminating the
guessing. The terrible truth is now being revealed."

He added, "Out of the 580,400 soldiers who served in GW1 (the
first
Gulf War), of them, 11,000 are now dead! By the year 2000, there
were
325,000 on Permanent Medical Disability. This astounding
number of
'Disabled Vets' means that a decade later, 56% of those soldiers
who
served have some form of permanent medical problems!" The
disability
rate for the wars of the last century was 5 percent; it was higher,
10
percent, in Viet Nam.

"The VA Secretary (Principi) was aware of this fact as far back as
2000," wrote Bernklau. "He, and the Bush administration have
been
hiding these facts, but now, thanks to Moret's report, (it) ... is far
too big to hide or to cover up!"

"Terry Jamison, Public Affairs Specialist, Office of the Deputy
Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, Department of Veterans
Affairs, at the VA Central Office, recently reported that 'Gulf Era
Veterans' now on medical disability, since 1991, number
518,739
Veterans," said Berklau.

"The long-term effects have revealed that DU (uranium oxide) is
a
virtual death sentence," stated Berklau. "Marion Fulk, a nuclear
physical chemist, who retired from the Lawrence Livermore
Nuclear
Weapons Lab, and was also involved with the Manhattan Project,
interprets the new and rapid malignancies in the soldiers (from
the
2003 Iraq War) as 'spectacular -- and a matter of concern!'"

When asked if the main purpose of using DU was for "destroying
things
and killing people," Fulk was more specific: "I would say it is the
perfect weapon for killing lots of people!"

Principi could not be reached for comment prior to deadline.

Education! thats how I got he hooked on this freaky path. Education
beyond the thralls of the dumded down corporate cloning institutions
that make up most of the so called education system here in the
freedom loving u s of A.

I can't remember it all, but there was a verse that we would say in
High school teacher training, and that was said in different ways,
at different waldorf schools that started with:

"I look into the world
in which the sun is shining..."

Now, contrast this to the "pledge of allegiance".

Here's a version of the pledge for all Gonzo anthro's. This is part
me, and part from memory of Jello biafra's version:

"I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
OF THE UNITED SNAKES OF CAPTIVITY
AND TO THE REPUBLICANS
FOR WHICH IT STANDS
ONE NATION, UNDER GOD (OR ELSE)
INDIVISIBLE (FROM THE FALL OF ROME)
WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL....
WHO CAN AFFORD IT!

And here's one that came to me today:

Bold
Unashamed
Societal
Hierarchy

Social conformity beckons. Even if we hope to work in a wonderful
Waldorf school, we had better keep our mouths shut about some
things, and be luciferically nice, if we wanna keep our jobs. Our
daughters teacher got fired, cause she wouldn't keep her mouth shut,
and for pedigogical reasons.

When discussing the idea of consensus in my teacher training
classes, I was stunned to hear our instructor say:

"We're not there yet."

It was then that it dawned on me why all the volunteer service
groups that a attended for so many years functioned so much beter
using "Roberts rules of order" than those who tried to conduct
business using the ideal of consensus.

And I have always, till recently, had a kind of nieve faith in
partnering up with people, that we should all "get together."

"...com-on people now
smile on your brother
everybody get together
gotta love one another right now..."

Bullshit.

If you aint done your fuckin homework, then your full of it.

What is the highest form of education anyway??

He/she was absolutely right, and might have added: "...although we sometimes
think we are." Becasue there are those damned "apparent decisions", which
are no decisions at all, but hang in the air because everyone is too tired

Air Jesus

With The Evangelical Air Force

As Christian broadcasting's leading lights gathered at the National
Religious Broadcasters' convention in Anaheim...

by Max Blumenthal

"How many of you out there think ministering the Word is unpopular?"
the Rev. James McDonald asked a rapt crowd of hundreds at the
opening ceremony of the National Religious Broadcasters' (NRB -
website) convention. A beefy, bald-headed evangelist with a folksy
style and an uncanny resemblance to Jesse Ventura, McDonald spent
his 30 minute sermon harping on a theme that would dominate the
convention: Christian persecution.

For five days inside the Anaheim Convention Center, from February 11-
16, the NRB's attendees conducted business as if they were huddled
in the catacombs of Rome rather than welcomed guests at a self-
contained suburban city of paisley-carpeted hotels, all-you-can-eat
buffets and climate-controlled conference halls directly across the
street from Disneyland. Indeed, when McDonald asked attendees for a
show of hands in affirmation of his question, nearly every hand in
the room shot up."

Bradford commments:

Christian Persecution and the catacombs? Now this really throws me
through a loop. A theory swirls around in my brain. I think of the
Catacombs and persecution and I suddenly get a reverse karmic
indicator. Suppose those Romans who loved to watch the slaughtering
of Christians in Rome, really, really didn't learn too much about
Catacombs, faith or the Christ Being but were the former elite of
hypocrits of Rome or elsewhere and their failed instincts were their
guides through several incarnations? Others certainly began a
process of inner development and a relation to Christianity by
slowly overcoming instinctual leprosy of the soul. Now there were
likely intervening incarnations, incarnations where mob joy at the
burning of Joan of Arc...well.. naturally there are weavings and
catharsis and karmic awakenings to the inner path to the Christ
event.. But there is something so terribly fishy about the Airways
of Christianity and these whacky fundies all pumped up in todays
environment.

Firstly they are stunted humans. Meaning that they somehow have had
very little relation to anything gnostic, and they are loaded with
sick pretentions and failed soul substance...If this substance has
remained unoworked through and is also part of the substance of the
content of human soul life carried through time, at least to the
point where Michael drew a line and rejected those who had up to
this point remained behind...and tosssed them into the earthly
environment without a moral compass... Naturally these souls would
see some sort of provisional compass, abstract, not from the true
heart of things, but rather from the corrupted dogma of things as
their only echo of divine salvation.

The Brand name may say Jesus on the bottle, but the beliefs have
nothing to do with the Christ that Michael has asked humanity to
awaken to. In fact there is a general retardation that hovers over
the whole wild mix. If we took at large sweeps of the Germans during
the Nazis and the Christians during the Inquistions and Indulgences
and Rome during the time of throwing christian to lions for
entertainment...a rather rude coarsening of the refined faculties
would be set into karmic recompense and retardation. Especially if
over time you gravitated to this general hypocrisy of the soul over
other more profound choices. This would apply to exterminating
Native Americans, hanging and torturing African Americans and of
course the look the other way Holocaust.

For where can such impossibly retarded thought forms arise from?
Yes, we can easily diagnose Luciferic personal illusions and
Ahrimanic delusions that grip and feed the Legion egregore, but
still what of this Legion egregore attached to humans? How does a
whole swath of people become such absolute idiots? Absolute bigots.
Absolutely fail to grasp Dr. King or fail to grasp Gandhi or fail to
grasp any Spiritual common sense of Christina ethics? It lies in a
whole swath of fairly ignorant karmic knots and groups that either
have failed to encounter higher Christian ethics in past lives or
have maintained mob mentatlity through a series of time trials.

Now the pressure of facing Ethical Spiritual Sense in humanity
against ignorant force, is a very real pressure that is felt in
striving. I have always admired this resisting force because it is
so ludicrus or ludicrous and it constantly calls for a rich response
in insight. So much dichotomy is so obvious to Consciousness Soul
thinking, but so little is understood or grasped by the ethical
sense that is currently developed in these people. How can this be?

Partially it must be that rising sense of sheep and goats issues and
why in fact such radically different sets of paradigms, preaching to
the congregation of Consciousness Soul liberals against preaching to
a congregation that understands the cadence, guilt projection and
seperation of clear sincere ethics from double infested or shadow
ethics that hides in the heart of Fundamentalism.

We have already in previous list discussions worked over the idea of
the Islamic Fundamentalists and the Christian Fundamentalists as
really being the same inner system but with only abstract, silly, no
consequene difference in real moral value.

So my theory is that this has been a retarded school of vast lumped
together types who gravitate to a leader that resembles the type of
split shadow double moral dichotomy which is grand Sentient demon
virtue and unrooted from the heart and core of spiritual inner
development in an upward moral sense. Neither can such failed Moral
development, such mob ideology free itself, without human
catastrophe from the refusal and retardation that it seems to have
carried through several time slots and was finally ejected out of
the Michael Intelligence to fend for its own on Earth. To find for
its own, role models and beliefs that were without compass and
without core developed spiritual logic, of even exactly why the
Christ would not agree with their own empty hearted and foolish
embracing of failed models, leaders and whoremongers.

But that leaves, as it has now for some time, Education, human
insights, human actions, human revelations and thinking. It has
rested with all of us, and our freedom, but that means that higher
education is left undiscerned, rejected, and out of the reach of
those who have built in themselves a failed and false, fabrication
based on Popes, Presidents, the Fuhrer, or your dumb ass daddy. Hard
catharsis, catastrophe faces the enflamed and infused consolidation
of failed compass, failed leadership attractions. These have been
built into the psyche and are rebuilt in the psyche of dysfunction
by those who cannot yet discern the very nature of their own split
nature. The fueled and enflamed division keeps such idiocy as
Democrat or Republican, Yin or Yang, Christian or Heathen, saint or
sinner in a failed bubble that must burst in mass as dogmatic
catastrophe to experience a dawning Christic catharsis.

Or; slow refined education within a whole and open environment where
thinking is encouraged and ideas are approached without fear, denial
or dogma.. gradual change or pressed, poltical and catastrophic
change that includes now, portions of the whole globe and whatever
collateral damage for lies and falsehoods bring about illusions and
maintaing lies, so the hearts remain fixated on the false compass
instead of the sincere spiritual heart compass.

In other words this is all pressing for some ugly solution that
forces Kamaloca on Earth to change the psychic denial into psychic
awakening. Pray for Peace.

"Imagine the kind of nation America would be if the people who love
fought as hard for their beliefs as those who hate. Allow yourself
to dream of how much good would be accomplished if the rational
citizens were as adamant as the superstitious ones, and how much bad
would be avoided.

Imagine if living humans were considered to be at least as important
as frozen embryos. This approach would permit research to cure many
dread diseases, thereby alleviating great suffering. And the best
part is that we wouldn't have to hurt the embryos even one little
bit, because they are already dead. Those Americans who are alive
would enjoy an improved quality of life, while those who are dead
would maintain a constant quality of death. This is known as "win-
win".

Imagine if family values meant loving your relatives instead of
hating homosexuals. Fundamentalist ministers who were a little less
obsessed with intra-gender affection would finally have time to rail
against real abominations, like spousal abuse. One out of every four
American women has been beaten by her husband, so here's a new
family value worthy of consideration: Don't hit Mom. Honoring this
avant-garde principle would fortify our collective moral fabric
infinitely more than discharging gays from the military.

Imagine if the numerous parts of the New Testament where Jesus
commands his adherents to aid the poor were not written in ink that
is illegible to right wingers. According to Christ, poverty isn't a
manifestation of vice any more than affluence is an affirmation of
virtue. When religious conservatives start emulating their Holy
Savior Who Reigns In Heaven instead of their Fat Junkie Who Lies On
Radio, America will become a better place.

Imagine if we aspired not to be the most powerful country but the
most humane. Think of how people in other lands would react if
instead of telling them what to do, we asked what we could do.
Viewed from a purely self-serving standpoint, our country would
garner more influence by saying, "We'd like to help" than by
screaming, "Surrender or die!" Of course, it's much harder to
plunder when you are not kicking ass, but at the risk of sounding
unpatriotic, I have come to the conclusion that plundering may be
overrated.

Imagine if our concept of heroism involved sparing lives rather than
taking them. Society would honor those who did not drop napalm on
children, meaning that the vast majority of citizens would get to
wear really cool medals, and the others would have a lot of
explaining to do.

Imagine if torturing people by having them raped were once again
considered a greater moral trespass than committing adultery, and
that restoring honor and dignity to the Oval Office did not involve
authorizing the mutilation of suspects who had never even received a
trial. Would the United States really be more vulnerable if our
leaders were less barbaric?

Imagine if our energy policy was formulated by patriotic Americans
instead of multinational profiteers. The United States would be self-
sufficient, the environment would be cleaner, and oil-producing
countries would be much, much safer.

Imagine if democracy meant everyone got to have their vote counted,
even if they didn't vote Republican. Despite the protestations of
corporate pundits, real democracy is considerably better than sham
democracy, although the latter does provide lucrative executive
positions for those who are otherwise unemployable.

Imagine if the American people paid as much attention to Washington
politics as they do to Hollywood gossip, which would render
demagogues incapable of manipulating clueless voters into
surrendering their liberty and wealth.

Imagine if journalism consisted of reporting unembellished facts
instead of parroting establishment lies. If the truth really does
set you free, American reporters currently reside in the world's
most opulent dungeon. Only when journalists are allowed to
communicate honestly with the public will the phrase "freedom of the
press" finally become more than inadvertent satire.

Imagine if our judiciary had a sense of proportionality, so that
those who snort cocaine into their noses received less prison time
than those who dump industrial sewage into the water supply. It
would also be worthwhile to rewrite the law so that stealing a loaf
of bread to feed your family carries a smaller criminal penalty than
murdering two thousand people by selling defective products. Society
will be less dangerous when membership in the Chamber of Commerce is
no longer a license to kill.

Imagine if we discovered saner reasons to stigmatize people than
immutable characteristics such as gender or ethnicity. Here's one
now...cruelty. What if being cruel suddenly became socially
unacceptable? Would that necessarily negate the ethos on which our
society is based? And if so, isn't it a sacrifice worth making?

Imagine if sex were not considered to be filthy. That sea change
would enable adults to discuss the topic without giggling, smirking,
and otherwise behaving like mental defectives. The Puritans amongst
us have succeeded in turning a perfectly natural desire into
something sleazy. Our deeply repressed culture always produces bull
markets in substance abuse and violent crime because self-loathing
people either implode or explode. If we want to have a healthier
nation, we can start by no longer teaching little kids that their
bodies are a source of shame.

Imagine if creative people were not vilified for refusing to honor
the arbitrary standards of uncreative people. How much additional
great art and music and literature and cinema would there be if
those who are talented could express their skills without being
attacked as subversive? Of equal importance, how much less lousy art
and music and literature and cinema would there be if conformity
were not encouraged more than originality?

Imagine if we spent a little less time congratulating ourselves for
being generous and a little more time actually being generous. There
is plenty of food in this country to feed the entire globe - a
comprehensive nutritional program combined with a responsible
contraceptive effort could end world hunger once and for all. That
would be a legacy for the ages: The Generation That Ended
Starvation. And it can happen any time we choose, just as soon as we
find the will.

There is more to life than idealism, but life is not worth living
without it. Hopefully, one day most Americans will accept that being
kind is not the same as being weak, and that caring about others is
virtuous rather than contemptible, and that a person's intrinsic
worth is unrelated to his or her net worth. Until that time, the
idealists will be outnumbered by the cynics who are now busy
remaking the United States in their own immoral image."

"When Thompson blew his brains out, a door closed somewhere and you
could hear the latch click. The main man had gone. Most of us can
easily be replaced. There was only one Hunter Thompson. I'll heist
one tonight to a fine, fine writer, a voice of his time, the
embodiment of an age the like of which there never was and which,
for good or bad, will never come again.

The Sixties look drab now – unkempt Manson girls, the lost and
unhappy, kids bleak and bleary-brained after waking up with too many
strangers in too many sour crash pads. There was that. It was not a
time for the weak-minded. But for those whose youth passed in the
freak years, there was something gaudy and silly and even profound,
something delightfully warped, that nobody else would ever have.
Thompson caught it.

I didn't know him. Others have written better than I can of his
work. But I knew the world that gave rise to him.

Starting around 1964, a restlessness came over the land, an itch.
Kids trickled and later flooded onto the highways as if called by
something. I can't explain it. Few had done it before. Few do it
now. They – we – set forth and created the only country in which
Thompson could have made sense.

It wasn't the war, at first. Nor was it only the usual impatience of
youth with authority. Nor was it even that we were young and the
world was wide. There was a revulsion against suburban emptiness,
against the eight-to-five Ozzie and Harriet gig, a rejection of the
Establishment, which meant boring jobs and singing commercials.

We discovered drugs, then regarded as worse than virgin sacrifices
to Moloch, and looked through a window we could never name. If the
times were out of joint, we were seldom out of joints. Chemistry
defined the life. You found a freak in some rotting slum and
said, "Hey, man, got some shit?" You toked up. You got the munchies,
the skitters, the fears. Parents really didn't understand. Dope, we
said, will get you through times of no money better than money will
get you through times of no dope. It did.

Thompson, a savage writer, a grand middle finger raised against the
sky, essayed drugs and found them good. And said so, and we loved
him. When he wrote of getting wacked out of his mind on seven
illicit pharmaceuticals, and wandering in puzzled paranoia through
the lobby of existence, we shrieked with laughter. We knew the same
drugs. We too had tried desperately to look straight in public when
the world had turned into a slow-motion movie. When it was over,
everybody went into a law firm.

Our socio-political understanding was limited. After all, we were
pretty much kids. I remember having a discussion in Riverside,
California, of how Republicans reproduced. We didn't think it could
be by sex. I figured it was by budding.

For a while though, it all worked. Apostles of the long-haul thumb,
we hitchhiked in altered mental states. I don't recommend it without
guidance. We stood by the western highways as the big rigs roared
by, rocking in the wash and the keening of the tires, desert
stretching off to clot-red hills in the distance. At night we might
buy bottles of Triple Jack at some isolated gas station and dip into
an arroyo, roll a fat one and swill Jack and talk and hallucinate
under the stars. An insight of the times was that if you got fifty
feet off the beaten track and sat down, you didn't exist. It still
works if you need it.

None of it was reasonable. I've never found anything worthwhile that
was.

Then there was politics, the war. Thompson was rocket smart and knew
you couldn't work within the system since that meant granting it
legitimacy. Peace with Honor, the Light at the End of the Tunnel,
all the ashen columnists arguing about timed withdrawal and
incremental pressure. He knew it was about profits for McDonnell
Douglas and egotistical warts growing like malignant goiters on the
neck of the country. He was Johnny Pot Seed, a Windowpane Ghandi,
dangerous as Twain.

The times brought their epiphanies. I remember being gezonked on
mescaline in a pad in Stafford, Virginia, and realizing that
existence was the point of execution in a giant Fortran program. So
it's all done in software, I thought. I was floating in the
universe. In the infinite darkness of space the code stretched above
and below in IBM blue letters hundreds of feet high that converged
to nothingness: N = N * 5, Go To 43, ITEST = 4**IEXP. For an hour I
was awash in understanding. The stereo was playing Bolero, which was
written by a Do-loop, so it all fitted.

Thompson savaged it all, lampooned it, creating a world of
consciousness-sculpting substances and bad-ass motorcycles and
absolute cynicism about the government. Today, after thirty years of
journalism, I can't find the flaw in his reasoning.

The other writer of the age was Tom Wolfe, but he wasn't in
Thompson's league. Wolfe was a talented outsider looking
perceptively at someone else's trip. Thompson lived the life, liked
big-bore handguns and big-bore bikes and had a liver analysis that
read like a Merck catalog. His paranoia may be style, but you can't
write what you aren't almost.

I remember standing alone in early afternoon beside some two-lane
desert road in New Mexico, or somewhere else, that undulated off
through rolling hills and had absolutely no traffic. I don't know
that I was on anything. Of course, I don't know that I wasn't. A
murky sun hung in an aluminum sky like a fried egg waiting to fall
and mesquite bushes pocked the dry sand with blue mortar bursts. The
silence was infinite. I lay in the middle of the road for a while
just because I could. Then I followed a line of ants into the desert
to see where they were going.

A grey Buick Riviera, a wheeled barge lost in the desert, slid to a
stop. The trunk creaked open like a jaw. A squatty little mushroomy
woman behind the wheel motioned me to get it. As we drove the cruise
alarm buzzed, and she told me it was a Communist radar. They were
watching her from the hills.

It was a Thompson moment.

Then it was over. Everybody went into I-banking or something equally
odious. We gave up drugs as boring.

You can see why he ate his gun. Everything he hated has returned.
Nixon is back in the White House, Rumsnamara risen from the dead,
bombs falling on other peoples' suburbs. The Pentagon is lying again
and democracy stalks yet another helpless country. This time the
young are already dead and there will be no joyous anarchy. The
press, housebroken, pees where it is told. But he gave it a hell of
a try."

OY! You can say that again! I have been appalled by the "education" my eldest
daughter has been given once she left the waldorf school. Public high school
has been a bitter experience. Hopefully, university will bring better days,
educationally speaking...

Hi Mike,

Here's one version of the verse -- there are multiple translations, of course.
My eldest daughter was visiting the waldorf school when the class began to
recite this verse and I swear she had tears in her eyes as she recited it.

   I look into the world
In which the sun is shining,
In which the stars are sparkling,
   In which the stones repose.
   The living plants are growing,
   The feeling animals live,
The soul with spirit power gives strength unto my limbs.
I look into the soul that lives within myself,
The spirit of God it weaves,
   In sunlight and in soul-light
   In cosmic space without,
   In depths of soul within,
To thee oh spirit of God, I want to turn myself,
To ask that strength and blessing,
   For learning and for working,
   May ever grow within me.

Well, not disputing you about anthros, gonzo or otherwise, but IME lots of
Quakers actually *do* know how to operate by consensus, including their schools

Hey Fleming and Sophia,

Can either one of you please let me know on what page this can be

Well, I have it that Elisha is the feminine aspect, maybe Kims calls
this the Sister Soul of Jesus. So for me, if it would be true, and I
do not know this, I would have to remind all that Dr. Steiner did
not 'out' the feminine mysteries' rather he spoke 'around' them. So
to me that would not be a good enough reason to discount this, not
saying you are specifically, due to that specific point in relations
to how I view this as a 'feminine' mystery.

Fleming:
I just checked the search machine of the Steiner

No party pooping going on at all Fleming, rather some good thinking
in lookin at where you just brought the Elisha and Zarathusthra
stream together. Kind of like bringing the Christian Rosenkruz and
the Magdalene stream together. Very interesting this story as the
very last name of this human is Rose Cross. And preytell I say who in
the hell do the roses sing for? :)))) Mary anyone?

Hey Stephen,

I like that. And it makes sense. It would seem a hard concept for
many of the Doctors students to hold onto as they don't seem to trust
one another in the experiential realm let along the 'using of the
higher forces' realm. And then again, for me, it really is a 'man
know thyself' kind of thing. It is so easy to get lost in that world
as you know and it takes so much concentration and perseverance to
ovecome all that will be thrown at one. It's a very difficult path to
undertake in the manner of a Dr. Steiner. And another point, and one
of contention for me, is the idea of when or why to utelize such a
gift. The idea of not changing a thing for a certain reason comes
into play. So, then, why would someone want to utelize this method
other than to grow further along the path would seem to be a question
for me. And to find a man who has not want but to share this
knowledge, and hopefully in full consciousness, for naught but ones
growth is a hard man to find. Imo.

Hey Frank,

I've been thinking on this twinship thing. And I now have a fifteen
year old niece who has decided to homeschool me:) seriously! Anyhow,
she is a Gemini. And so it gets me to thinking on those twins again.
Not only she but almost all of my nieces and nephews are born under
the sign of Gemini. I mean what is up with that?

Anyhow, I revisted the Bacon/Shakespeare thoughts on the train ride
home to Jersey and I found a picture in Mr. Dawkins book that
actually made me realize why it is that Dr. Steiner speaks a little
more harshly on Mr. Bacon: he does indeed force the issue. And where
this can be seen in in the picture I shared a while back with the
naked woman coming out of the cave: if you look closely you will see
that the 'time' man is actually pulling her hand out of the cave. And
not only that but this is a Da Vinci hand in that it is bigger and
more pronounced as he uses with the Mary hands in the Rocks picture.
I think we must be on the same stream of thought with these two men
in a way.

And I realized on the way home how it is that Da Vinci was able to
come up with all those ideas that indeed later on did become a
reality: the clouds. He saw the ideas in the clouds as nature
shiftshaped itself for him. And I know this man. I mean I think I
also know of this Lord Bacon. I really don't have a reason why I see
the same things they do. I mean I uncover all these little things and
know that if I was in a room with the originals I would be able to
out all the secrets. And I think this speaks to teh spirit worlds
working through nature to reveal the secrets.

Now, the twin part of Shakespeare and Lord Bacon works to the manner
in which they coaxed the secrets out: one seduced them the other
forced them. It is the ying and yang of the twins and the yinyang
being indeed the twins its very self.

Anyhow, the book wheren in I was apalled to keep reading is indeed
one of inuendo. And funny that it tells no thing of fact only uses
his own supposition to come to a thing. And I guess in a way that is
what we all do but there is a lack of real thinking in that from what
I can see. I feel a bit remorsefull to have said he was writing or
reporting in the vein of Mr. Staudenmaier but what I mean was that it
seems to me that he was in love with his own position that no matter
of other finding would discourage that particular line of thinking he
had chosen to follow. And this is what I note of Mr. Staudenmaier.

The book does have some good clues that actually lead towards the
other side being more of a reality than what he is trying to show and
that is in the words of Dr. Steiner saying that these boys had the
same initiate teacher. Now, in this is a very interesting thing we
touched on a bit before in regards to Count Saint Germain. But,
wherein I think I was mostly bothered and usually it is like this, is
where he misinterprets this figure to be the human being James the
First. Now, for me it is the great initiate that stands behind James
the First, not James the First himself. And in this I find Mr. Smith
makes the same mistake which is where my blood starts to boil a bit
unfortunately. I can hardly stand to read when I see such poor
misrepresentations of the Sophia.

So, I am wondering if you or anyone else might be able to point to
clue findind words by Dr. STeiner regarding this James the First.
See, this author believes Dr. Steiner is speaking of this gentleman
and I do not. I think as I stated above it is a great being and one
that worked from above versus from within one man towards two others
such as Shakespeare and Lord Bacon.

All good things,
Dottie

Well, I shall take my self to be the etc:) and share a
thought on Nut. We are all her. Her picture shows us
what happens after our physical death: we become the
planets. They become our organs. She is the sign. And
boy oh boy oh boy I wonder how the person who drew
that design ever came to 'see' that particular concept
or maybe it was a precept, who the heck knows? Smart
people I guess. Anyhow, how is it that we have fallen
so far that we can not 're member' these things. Yet,
once we have understood the concept it awakens
something deep within us that calls to a rememberence
of sorts. An awakening of sorts that is all of grace I
say.

And Danny, man, you are a great lead into the land of
tears.

Best,
Dottie
