Obon is an annual Buddhist event for commemorating one's ancestors. It is
believed that each year during obon, the ancestors' spirits return to this world
in order to visit their relatives.

Traditionally, lanterns are hung in front of houses to guide the ancestors'
spirits, obon dances (bon odori) are performed, graves are visited and food
offerings are made at house altars and temples.

At the end of Obon, floating lanterns are put into rivers, lakes and seas in
order to guide the spirits back into their world. The customs followed vary
strongly from region to region.

Obon is celebrated from the 13th to the 15th day of the 7th month of the year,
which is July according to the solar calendar. [

Darumasan ga koronda is a traditional Japanese children's game. Small bean
bags are tossed and juggled in a game similar to jacks. Although it is mostly a
social game, Otedama can be played either alone or in groups. It is rarely
competitive and often accompanied by sing songs. [

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 3, 2007

ZENKAIKON IS PROUD TO OFFER GAME BY PIANO SQUALL
A Portion of the Proceeds Benefit Multiple Sclerosis Research

VALLEY FORGE, PA – Along with wonderful Anime and SciFi entertainment Zenkaikon
will give con-goers the opportunity to purchase Piano Squall’s CD GAME. The CD
features Piano Squall’s aka Michael Gluck’s original arrangement and performance
of twenty-six theme songs from videogames and anime, including Final Fantasy,
Naruto, Super Mario World, InuYasha, Chrono Trigger, Cowboy Bebop, Mega Man,
Chrono Cross, Full Metal Alchemist, Tetris, and Evangelion. Highlights include
Michael’s signature Final Fantasy Battle Medley, which blends nine Final Fantasy
battle themes together into a single spectacular piece.

Michael and the videogame publisher Electronic Arts will collaborate to donate
an amount equal to 20% of all profits from GAME to the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society. But this is not the first time that Michael and his employer
have joined forces for charity. In 2006, Michael and EA raised $8,600 for the
National MS Society and $4,000 for Race for the Cure through selling “Piano
Squall” posters at Michael’s concerts.

“I am always exploring new ways to combine my love of videogame and anime music
with my mission to fight Multiple Sclerosis, and I couldn’t be more excited
about the launch of GAME,” said Michael. “I watched my grandmother waste away in
a chair, completely paralyzed by MS for the last ten years of her life. We must
cure this horrible disease as quickly as possible.”

GAME is also available now at PianoSquall.com. The price is $9.99 with Free
Shipping anywhere in the United States.

###

About Piano Squall:
Under the stage name “Piano Squall”, Michael Gluck performs videogame and anime
music piano concerts to raise money for charity. Since 2003, he has given
concerts in sixteen different states to benefit organizations such as The
National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Race for the Cure, Baltimore Reads, The
Maryland Food Bank, The Matthew Foster Foundation, and Tsunami Relief. Michael
also donates a portion of all personal proceeds to The National Multiple
Sclerosis Society to fight the disease that destroyed his grandmother’s life.
In 2005, Michael performed at the anime convention Otakon for an audience of
three thousand people, and later that year, he was featured on MTV’s website in
recognition for his contributions to the world of videogame music. In 2007,
Michael released his debut album, entitled GAME, which became the first
videogame and anime piano solo CD to be published by an independent musician.

Zenkaikon 2007’s Anime/Cosplay Dating Game!

Zenkaikon 2007: October 13, 2007 at the Valley Forge Scanticon
Hotel and Conference Center, King of Prussia, PA (Philly Area)
http://www.zenkaikon.com

Come join us for a hilarious good time as the classic ‘Dating Game’ takes on a
whole new meaning with cosplaying bachelors and bachelorettes! Are you a good
cosplayer? Do you really know your character? Would you like to compete for the
hand of a lovely bachelorette or handsome bachelor for the right to take them on
a “date?” Then consider auditioning for our dating game this year! More details
below!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------\
--------------------------------------------------------------
• Dating Game Format:
Just like in the traditional ‘Dating Games’ of yesteryear TV, this dating game
is similar. 3 Bachelors or 3 Bachelorettes sit on one side of a curtain, on the
other side is the ‘prize’, an elusive bachelor or bachelorette for one of the 3
other contestants to ‘win’. Twist is, you’re in costume and you ARE your
character. The prize will ask several questions which you must answer in
character and then choose which one they want. There will be 2 rounds of the
dating game.

• Winners of the Dating Game: will receive their picture on our website, a free
lunch to eat with their ‘date’, some pocky and snacks to take on their ‘date’
and special reserved seating at the Masquerade (no waiting in line, folks!) if
they choose to attend it as a ‘couple’.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------\
--------------------------------------------------------

•What are the requirements to enter the Dating Game?
oYou need to be 18 and up (sorry, folks, legal stuff. And yes if you’re selected
we will check you for proof of age at the con)

oYou need to keep things rated PG during the game

oYou need to have a good costume (bought or handmade, either). The costume needs
to be legal to wear in public and you need to be properly covered (i.e. no
nudity or scantily clad things that would not be OK to wear on the street).

oYou need to be able to know your character and really get into character
oYou need a rocking good sense of humor

oYou need to apply to be in it (duh!)

oYou need to send in your application no later than September 26. Winners will
be notified by October 1, 2007.

oIf selected, you’ll be required to check in at the cosplay table during the
con. We’ll ask you to sign release forms for photos and videos during the dating
game at that time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------\
--------------------------------------------------------
•How do I apply to be in the dating game?
oFill out the application and send it in along with some good photos of you in
your costume to zenkaikoncosplay at gmail dot com

oFor simplicity’s sake we’re only accepting one costume per application for this
year.

oParticipants are selected not based on application order but, based on the
quality of their costumes and the popularity and appropriateness of their
characters. Audiences will enjoy the game more if they recognize the characters
and are familiar with a series.
   ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interested?? Head on over to our forums to get the application form!

THANK YOU FROM ZENKAIKON 2007
More Than 550 Attendees, Breaking Last Year’s Record

VALLEY FORGE, PA – Zenkaikon would like to thank the 2007 attendees, artists and
vendors for making 2007 the biggest Zenkaikon attendance yet. “We hosted 570
con-goers, a more than 100 person attendance surge from last year’s record of
450 people. Zenkaikon is all about the fans. The Zenkaikon staff and I would not
be able to have such a successful convention without them,” said Jacqueline
Reitnauer, Zenkaikon Con-chair.

New to Zenkaikon this year was the band HSU-NAMI who was one of the acts that
rocked the Main Events room. The returning favorite, Eyedolu, engaged the crowd
with another first-rate musical performance. Karl “Uncle Yo” Custer kept his
promise to, “Make you laugh so hard, your chibi will feel it.” with his comedic
observations about otaku, gamers, Trekkies, comic book fan-boys, and the like.
The “Cosplay Dating Game” had contestants playing as their favorite anime, video
game and manga characters. The laughter continued with The “Whose Line Is It
Anyway” inspired “Anime Whose Line” where contestants performed impromptu comedy
skits as various anime, video game and manga characters.

In addition to the attendees and performers was the diverse group of vendors and
artists at this year’s Zenkaikon. The Dealer’s Room had 22 tables selling
everything from Pocky, vintage kimonos, and T-shirts to jewelry, DVDs and video
games. Artists’ Alley had 24 tables showcasing many creative talents from
hand-made bags, clothes and jewelry to original art, fan art and on the spot
commissioned portraits.

Zenkaikon 2008 will take place on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18!!.
at the Scanticon Valley Forge Hotel and Conference Center in King of Prussia,
PA.

Keep watching www.Zenkaikon.com for details on Zenkaikon 2008 pre-registration
