Description
Rachel Carson said,"If a child is to keep alive an inborn sense of wonder, that child needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in." The heart of Angel House Community Garden is rooted in connecting children to nature and allowing them to become more deeply aware of how things are grown. Our garden is a learning garden for children and their parents. It uses organic, sustainable growing methods including composting, water conservation, and use of recycled materials whenever possible. Art and music will be weaved into the programs as the garden grows. Next season we hope to grow enough vegetables and herbs to sponsor a family in need or donate to the food bank.
