Re: [andrews28] Sylvana Yachts Andrews 28 Update - 2008

Good evening,

With the development of Sylvanna Yachts taking over the construction of the Rocket 22 what type of price change can we expect (hopefully a decrease in price)?

Also, what changes will be made to the Rocket 22?

I love the design and performance of the Rocket and it is definately a boat I have had my eye on for quite some time.

If the price does decrease and quality remains high I would definately be interested.

Please provide more details regarding the Rocket i.e. new price, changes to construction, etc.

Thanks,

Mike

For all of you Andrews 28 fans, please accept our best wishes for a
prosperous and successful on the race course New Year! In the spirit
of 2008 here is our first update of the season. As some of you may
have been aware; Rocket Boats and the exciting new Rocket 22 are
built right next door to the new Sylvana Yachts factory here in
Penticton, British Columbia. Rocket Boats company President Anthony
Dutton, along with other industry professionals; have been extremely
impressed with the overall fit and finish of the new Andrews 28; so
much so that Sylvana Yacht has been approached to take over the
manufacture of the new Rocket 22.

While this is not a decision to be taken lightly; the ability to
consolidate two next door to each other manufacturing operations
into one unit offers increased efficiencies and most importantly the
savings in manufacturing costs can be passed on directly to you, our
future boat owners.

Currently the design team at Sylvana Yachts is working with the
Rocket Boats Team to thoroughly review the Rocket 22 build and
engineering process to look for greater efficiencies and to
incorporate many of the great ideas that have been gained from
reviewers and current Rocket 22 owners alike. Stay tuned for more
information in this regard.

In the meantime the production team continues to carefully construct
new Andrews 28's for the upcoming 2008 sailing season. New boats;
complete with a 2008 regatta schedule will be announced soon. Thank
you to everyone for all of the interest and inquiries, and again
thanks for all your patience as we develop these two amazing boats.
