Description

This group is dedicated to the study and appreciation of author Andrew J. Offutt and his writings.

Andrew Jefferson Offutt (1934- ) is a science fiction and fantasy author perhaps best known for his Conan the Barbarian and Cormac Mac Art novels, based on the Robert E. Howard characters. Having written about fifty books and numerous short stories, the prolific Offutt has produced numerous series, including the War of the Gods on Earth, independent novels, including My Lord Barabrian, and memorable characters, such as the thief Shadowspawn in the Thieve's World anthologies.

Offutt also edited the fantasy anthology series Swords Against Darkness.

He also has used a remarkable twelve pseudonyms in his career. Perhaps his most (in)famous pseudonym is John Cleve, which he uses for more erotic-themed works, including the science fiction Spaceways series and historical Crusader series.
