ANCIENT CITY FOUND, IRRADIATED FROM ATOMIC BLAST
Radiation still so intense, the area is highly dangerous

A heavy layer of radioactive ash in Rajasthan, India, covers a
three-square mile area, ten miles west of Jodhpur. Scientists are
investigating the site, where a housing development was being built. For
some time it has been established that there is a very high rate of
birth defects and cancer in the area under construction. The levels of
radiation there have registered so high on investigators' gauges that
the Indian government has now cordoned off the region. Scientists have
unearthed an ancient city where evidence shows an atomic blast dating
back thousands of years, from 8,000 to 12,000 years, destroyed most of
the buildings and probably a half-million people. One researcher
estimates that the nuclear bomb used was about the size of the ones
dropped on Japan in 1945.
          The Mahabharata clearly describes a
catastrophic blast that rocked the continent. "A single projectile
charged with all the power in the Universe...An incandescent column of
smoke and flame as bright as 10,000 suns, rose in all its splendor...it
was an unknown weapon, an iron thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of
death which reduced to ashes an entire race. "The corpses were so burned
as to be unrecognizable. Their hair and nails fell out, pottery broke
without any apparent cause, and the birds turned white. "After a few
hours, all foodstuffs were infected. To escape from this fire, the
soldiers threw themselves into the river."
          Historian Kisari Mohan Ganguli says that
Indian sacred writings are full of such descriptions, which sound like
an atomic blast as experienced in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He says
references mention fighting sky chariots and final weapons. An ancient
battle is described in the Drona Parva, a section of the Mahabharata.
"The passage tells of combat where explosions of final weapons decimate
entire armies, causing crowds of warriors with steeds and elephants and
weapons to be carried away as if they were dry leaves of trees," says
Ganguli. "Instead of mushroom clouds, the writer describes a
perpendicular explosion with its billowing smoke clouds as consecutive
openings of giant parasols. There are comments about the contamination
of food and people's hair falling out."
          Archeologist Francis Taylor says that
etchings in some nearby temples he has managed to translate suggest that
they prayed to be spared from the great light that was coming to lay
ruin to the city. "It's so mid-boggling to imagine that some
civilization had nuclear technology before we did. The radioactive ash
adds credibility to the ancient Indian records that describe atomic
warfare." Construction has halted while the five member team conducts
the investigation. The foreman of the project is Lee Hundley, who
pioneered the investigation after the high level of radiation was
discovered.
          There is evidence that the Rama empire
(now India) was devastated by nuclear war. The Indus valley is now the
Thar desert, and the site of the radioactive ash found west of Jodhpur
is around there.
          Consider these verses from the ancient
(6500 BC at the latest) Mahabharata: ...a single projectile Charged with
all the power of the Universe. An incandescent column of smoke and
flame. As bright as the thousand suns. Rose in all its splendour... a
perpendicular explosion with its billowing smoke clouds......the cloud
of smoke, rising after its first explosion formed into expanding round
circles like the opening of giant parasols...

entire race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas. ...The corpses were so

          After a few hours All foodstuffs were
infected... ...to escape from this fire The soldiers threw themselves in
streams To wash themselves and their equipment.
          Until the bombing of Hiroshima and
Nagasaki, modern mankind could not imagine any weapon as horrible and
devastating as those described in the ancient Indian texts. Yet they
very accurately described the effects of an atomic explosion.
Radioactive poisoning will make hair and nails fall out. Immersing
oneself in water gives some respite, though it is not a cure.
          When excavations of Harappa and
Mohenjo-Daro reached the street level, they discovered skeletons
scattered about the cities, many holding hands and sprawling in the
streets as if some instant, horrible doom had taken place. People were
just lying, unburied, in the streets of the city. And these skeletons
are thousands of years old, even by traditional archaeological
standards. What could cause such a thing? Why did the bodies not decay
or get eaten by wild animals? Furthermore, there is no apparent cause of
a physically violent death.
          These skeletons are among the most
radioactive ever found, on par with those at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. At
one site, Soviet scholars found a skeleton which had a radioactive level
50 times greater than normal. Other cities have been found in northern
India that show indications of explosions of great magnitude. One such
city, found between the Ganges and the mountains of Rajmahal, seems to
have been subjected to intense heat. Huge masses of walls and
foundations of the ancient city are fused together, literally vitrified!
And since there is no indication of a volcanic eruption at Mohenjo-Daro
or at the other cities, the intense heat to melt clay vessels can only
be explained by an atomic blast or some other unknown weapon. The cities
were wiped out entirely.
          While the skeletons have been carbon-dated
to 2500 BC, we must keep in mind that carbon-dating involves measuring
the amount of radiation left. When atomic explosions are involved, that
makes then seem much younger.
          Interestingly, Manhattan Project chief
scientist Dr J. Robert Oppenheimer was known to be familiar with ancient
Sanskrit literature. In an interview conducted after he watched the
first atomic test, he quoted from the Bhagavad Gita: "'Now I am become
Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.' I suppose we all felt that way." When
asked in an interview at Rochester University seven years after the
Alamogordo nuclear test whether that was the first atomic bomb ever to
be detonated, his reply was, "Well, yes, in modern history."
          Ancient cities whose brick and stonewalls
have literally been vitrified, that is, fused together, can be found in
India, Ireland, Scotland, France, Turkey and other places. There is no
logical explanation for the vitrification of stone forts and cities,
except from an atomic blast.
          Another curious sign of an ancient nuclear
war in India is a giant crater near Bombay. The nearly circular
2,154-metre-diameter Lonar crater, located 400 kilometres northeast of
Bombay and aged at less than 50,000 years old, could be related to
nuclear warfare of antiquity. No trace of any meteoric material, etc.,
has been found at the site or in the vicinity, and this is the world's
only known "impact" crater in basalt. Indications of great shock (from a
pressure exceeding 600,000 atmospheres) and intense, abrupt heat
(indicated by basalt glass spherules) can be ascertained from the site.

          A manuscript, composed in Sanskrit by King
Bhoja deals with techniques of warfare, and in particular with certain
types of war machines. The work is called Samarangana Sutradhara, or
"Battlefield Commander (sometimes abbreviated "the Samar"). The whole of
chapter 31 is devoted to the construction and operation of several kinds
of aircraft having various methods of propulsion.
          King Bhoja, who used the Sanskrit term
yantra more often than the more familiar vimana, claims his knowledge
was based on Hindu manuscripts which were ancient even in his time, 11th
century AD.
          Here are some excerpts from this ancient
text: "They were propelled by air and inside is placed a mercury engine
with an iron heating apparatus beneath. By means of the power latent in
the mercury sets the driving whirlwind in motion. When it has been
heated by the controlled fire from the iron containers a thunder power
is developed through the mercury. If the iron engine with the properly
wielded joints be filled with mercury and fire conducted into the upper
part, it develops the power with the roar of the lion."
          "..inside it (the Vimana) one must place
the mercury-engine with its iron heating apparatus beneath. By means of
the power latent in the mercury which sets the driving whirlwind in
motion, a man sitting inside may travel a great distance in the sky in a
most marvelous manner.
          "Similarly by using the prescribed
processes one can build a Vimana as large as the temple of the
God-in-motion. Four strong mercury containers must be built into the
interior structure.
          "When these have been heated by controlled
fire from iron containers, the Vimana develops thunder-power through the
mercury. And at once it becomes a pearl in the sky.
          "Moreover, if this iron engine with
properly welded joints be filled with mercury, and the fire be conducted
to the upper part it develops power with the roar of a lion."
      Did a War Take Place at the End of the Dryas Period?
    The ice cores show that at the end of the last ice age
temperatures increased steadily for the next thousand years. Traces of
copper, tin and lead show marked increases!
          The Older Dryas period ends abruptly with
a dramatic drop in temperatures. Extinction of Mammoths as well as the
megafauna of North and South America took place about this time. Uranium
concentrations in coral jump dramatically from approx. 1.5 parts per
million to over 4 parts per million at about this period.
          Radio carbon dates at this period are
chaotic! Studies of layered deposits laid down by lakes provide
confirmation of irregularities in the chronological record Fused desert
sands have been found, notably in the Egyptian desert.
          All the evidence seems to support the
existence of an ancient nuclear war having taken place in the past.
          There is no doubt that Samarangana
Sutradhara, the Mahabharata, and many other ancient Indian texts exist.
There are references to these texts in Indian government and scientific
publications. The texts cover a very wide range of topics, from town
planning, health and hygiene including a detailed description of
vaccination, to wide ranging discussion of mechanics and scientific
observation, method and theories. They describe electricity and
mechanics that are in full agreement with science of today. They
describe Vimanas, aircraft of many designs, that are all scientifically
feasible.
          Note that the translator above was a
person who did not understand the concepts of the ancient documents he
was translating. There were no words in his own language of 11the
century AD to describe the wonderful things in those ancient texts -- he
did the best he could.
          Also keep in the mind these texts were
written some time after a terrible nuclear war took place in which two
great civilizations destroyed themselves. The survivors (or more likely,
descendants of the survivors) of these civilizations were attempting to
record their knowledge for future generations. And having been recorded
quite some time after the disaster, the writers themselves were probably
not scientists and probably did not understand the material they were
recording. Errors may have occurred as well as these texts were copied
and re-copied over the ages.

Ancient Human Metropolis Found in Africa By Dan

past 500 years, points to a vanished civilization that lived and dug for

dating the site was a problem. The heavy patina on the rock walls
suggested the structures were extremely old, but the science of dating
patina is just being developed and is still controversial.

2003, quite by accident. He was on route to find one of his pilots who
crashed his plane on the edge of the cliff. Next to the crash site Johan

          The exact location of the calendar is

calendar were made based on the rise of Orion, a constellation known for
its three bright stars forming the "belt" of the mythical hunter. By
determining when the three stars of Orion's belt were positioned flat
(horizontal) against the horizon, we can estimate the time when the
three stones in the calendar were in alignment with these conspicuous
stars.
                  The most recent
and most acurate calculation, done in June 2009, suggests an age of at
least 160,000 years, based on the rise of Orion -- flat on the horizon

Who made the metropolis? Why?

artist's rendition] is the name given by researchers to the woman who is
defined as the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA) for all
currently living humans. Passed down from mother to offspring, all
mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) in every living person is derived from this
one female individual. Mitochondrial Eve is the female counterpart of Y-
chromosomal Adam, the patrilineal most recent common ancestor, although
they lived at different times.
          Mitochondrial Eve is believed to have
lived between 150,000 to 250,000 years BP, probably in East Africa, in
the region of Tanzania and areas to the immediate south and west.
Scientists speculate that she lived in a population of between perhaps
4000 to 5000 females capable of producing offspring at any given time.
If other females had offspring with the evolutionary changes to their
DNA we have no record of their survival. It appears that we are all

of about 1700 BC, but it certainly dates back to Sumerian times. It
combines familiar Sumerian motifs of the creation of mankind and the

"gods" -- beings from a planet called Nibiru -- digging ditches and
mining for gold as part of an expeditionary team. Modern humans (homo
sapiens) did not exist yet; only primitive hominids lived on Earth.
There were two groups of "gods", the worker class and the ruling class
(i.e. officers). The worker gods had built the infrastructure as well as
toiled in the gold mines and, after thousands of years, the work was
apparently too much for them.
        After 3,600 years of this work, the gods finally
begin to complain. They decide to go on strike, burning their tools and

upper-class gods now see that the work of the lower-class gods "was too
hard," they decide to sacrifice one of the rebels for the good of all.
They will take one god, kill him, and make mankind by mixing the god's

expedition came for gold and that great quantities were mined and
shipped off the planet. The community in South Africa was called "Abzu"
and was the prime location of the mining operation.

Officials at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art returned an artifact to the
Egyptian government on Thursday. The red granite fragment was on loan to the
museum from an unnamed private owner. As museum staff inspected the artifact,
which has never been displayed on the premises, they realized that the fragment
was the corner of the base of a shrine enclosure meant to contain the statue of
a deity. The shrine was dedicated to Amun, the chief deity of Karnak
(Ipet-Isut), by Amenemhat I.

Dorothea Arnold, the Chairman of the Museum's Egyptian Art Department recognized
the piece, "For a long time, I puzzled about the object to which this fragment
belonged. I finally pieced it together when I came across a photograph showing
the Naos in Karnak which is missing a corner in an article by Luc Gabolde in the
journal Egypt Afrique et Orient ... We decided that, in these circumstances, the
appropriate thing to do was to alert the Egyptian authorities and to make
arrangements with the owner so that we could return the fragment to Egypt." The
MET purchased the granite block, which was acquired last October on the
antiquities market, in order to repatriate it.

This was not the first time that the MET returned "ill-gotten" objects to Egypt.
8 years ago the museum returned a 19th dynasty relief displaying the head of a
goddess. The item was recognized by a Dutch Egyptologist, who had studied a
chapel dedicated to Seti I at Memphis (originally Men-Nefer). Similar to the
latest repatriated relief, the Seti I relief was purchased by the museum to
facilitate its return.

Most media outlets hailed the relief's return as a victory for Zahi Hawass, the
very visible head of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities. Hawass has lead a
public battle to return many of Egypt's most noted artifacts on foreign soil,
including the Rosetta Stone (British Museum) and the disputed bust of Queen
Nefertiti (Neues Museum in Berlin). After refusing to return a golden burial
mask of a noblewoman, Hawass cut ties with the Saint Louis Art Museum. He next
lobbied France's Louvre to return 5 painted wall fragments. The Louve relented
after Hawass cut ties with the museum by halting their excavations and
cancelling a lecture by a former staff member. Hawass has still remained
"chilly" to France's Minister of Culture after the return of the items.

Regular readers of The Udjat should know that I am certainly no fan of Zahi
Hawass (read one of my posts on the topic here). He has worked diligently to
deny the African origins of the Ancient Egyptians. I am also routinely annoyed
by his obligatory inclusion in virtually any documentary by the History Channel
on Kemet. He very seldom adds anything of value to the discussions. I must give
Hawass credit, however, for his dogged commitment to the return of Egypt's
ancient artifacts.

Baseball: All-American Sport Created by Ancient Africans?

Sometimes I get teased by my friends when I tell them that baseball is my
favorite sport. Oh sure, I enjoy a good Knicks game (I know these are very rare)
and I root for both New York football teams, but the Mets have long been my
guilty pleasure. My friends say, "How can any self-respecting Black man choose
baseball over basketball or even football!" What can I say? No matter the
good-natured ribbing, I still love the game. As I sat watching the Yankees fall
to the Angels last night, the thought occurred to me, "What if my friends knew
that baseball was created by ancient Africans?"

I know. Maybe this is a little bit of hyperbole. The Europeans who played early
variants of the game were probably not aware of the game's similarities with one
played by the Ancient Egyptians thousands of years earlier. However, it is
incredible that our ancient African ancestors enjoyed "baseball" long before the
days of billionaire owners and mammoth free agent contracts. There have been
very few games in recorded history which used a bat and a ball.

Hello people!

I'm new to this group. Just call me Mephy. I have been interested in ancient
civilizations, especially pre-deluge civilizations, e.g. Atlantis, for may
years.

Two of my greatest inspirations in the field of research have been the French
writers Louis Pauwel, Jacque Bergier and Robert Charroux. I would be interested
in discussing ideas put forward my these writers and how their ideas have
developed over the years.

At the moment I have been pretty well occupied with the "History of the

When the Editor of Hidden World asked me to do a short article to be used as a forward for this issue my first thought was that over the years I had written almost everything I knew about Mr. Shaver.  Then I remembered a news report I'd read on the internet just a few weeks ago that had brought the name Richard Shaver screaming to the front of my thoughts.  That report reiterated the fact that as time goes on I realize more and more that Richard S. Shaver was indeed a man ahead of his time. I can offer an easy example of proof of that statement that would stop any argument against that fact with one glance.  On the cover of Volume 1 of this Hidden World series is a drawing of a Dero as seen by Mr. Shaver.  The illustration consists of a Dero setting comfortable in his leisure chair deep down in his underground lair watching the goings and comings of humans on the surface.  He is watching them remotely over a computer screen. At his fingertips is a keyboard.  I agree there are knobs on the keyboard instead of lettered keys.  But no one can deny it is a computer.  And this illustration was first published in 1943.  Television was still around the corner and computers were a gleam in several young inventers' brains.  Then there is that amazing news report I read the other day.

I recently had the privilege of working with Mary Martin (The Best of the Hollow Earth Hassle – Global Communications 2008) on a project to release a lost Richard Shaver interview she, Tom LeVesque and Richard Shaver had participated in on the Hilly Rose show back in 1972.  I think this was probably his last live interview. While converting this amazing cassette tape to CD I realized something that has sort of been brushed aside when it comes to talk of the strange world of Richard S. Shaver.  The Shaver Mystery overshadows another remarkable discovery by this extordenary man.  In fact in his last years he had put the Shaver Mystery and the hidden World aside.  As he stated in the interview, he had grown tired of talking about the Shaver Mystery because he had grown tired of people not believing him and calling him a liar and a "nut".  Then he began to talk passionately of the work that he was doing at the present time (1972).  Work that he would actually be involved in for the rest of his life.  Work that made many people in the scientific community roll their eyes at the thought of it.

He had moved to Summit Arkansas and opened a small "Rock Shop" behind his humble dwelling.  But he wasn't just selling rocks.  As he explained to Hilly and his radio audience in the interview:

"Dot [Richard's wife] brought in these rocks and put them on my desk.  They set there for quite awhile.  Then [one day] I really looked at the things and said, "Here's what I've been looking for."

 Shaver goes on to report that he started to slice these rocks into slabs and he stated that he begin to realize that these were not just rocks but that they contained messages from the ancients.  He further states that "What they are, are huge libraries of picture rocks and they are very common, very valuable and very easy to see."

Although Ray Palmer does devote part 2 of the rare hard-to-find 1975 book "The Secret World -Volume 1: "Pictures in Stone"" to Richard Shaver's discovery of picture rocks not much has been said about this phase of this far-seeing man's life since.  I guess the ever-lasting interest in the doings of the Dero and Tero and the whole Shaver Mystery has had more than a little to do with scant attention being paid to, - or realization of  - the true significance of the other Shaver discovery, his picture rocks and his claim that they contained the library of an ancient civilization.

So you can imagine my surprise and delight when I ran across the following report at ireport.com

As I said at the beginning of this piece . . . As time goes on I realize that, say what you may, Richard S. Shaver was a far-seeing man.  Mr. Shaver you are vindicated.

This brings us back to this series, the Hidden World.  Maybe it's time Richard Shaver's hidden world was given a bit more scrutiny.  After all he knew a computer was down the road.  He located an ancient library and saw historical photos long before anyone in the scientific community would even consider such a thing.  And it was all right at their feet.  All they had to do was pick up a rock.  That's what Shaver did.  Maybe its time to look a little further under our feet.  After all . . .  Shaver did.
