The Amsterdam Book Club is a group of English-speaking, sociable expatriate and Dutch book-lovers based in and around Amsterdam. We meet approximately once a month, at one of our members' houses to drink wine, eat M&Ms and talk about the book that we read during the preceding month. We all have wide ranging tastes in literature and as one of the main reasons we set up this club was to broaden our individual reading experiences, we've tackled works such as "The Catcher in the Rye", "Twins", "The Alchemist", "The Cherry Orchard", "The Discovery of Heaven", "Pygmalion" and "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Klay".
