Shelda Eggers started a list serve specifically for ample sized knitters. She has decided to retire her moderator duties, but many of us wanted to continue this wonderful community.

Ample-knitters is an email discussion list focusing on issues of concern to knitters in all sizes of large. It is open to all knitters, from beginners to experts, who want to knit for themselves or large-size partners and friends, and to designers who want to make their patterns size-inclusive. Topics of discussion include locating large-size patterns, successful & unsuccessful attempts at converting “regular” size patterns, fitting issues of all sorts, designing sweaters especially to fit our proportions, etc. Ample-knitters aims to be a group for information sharing, support and reassurance that we can knit beautiful garments to fit our big beautiful selves. We also do quarterly KAL's on projects that apply new skills to our knitting.
