Description

A Group designed for all UK-based modellers of North American railroads.

The Group positively encourages humour as well as discussing latest models, layouts and exhibitions, and acting as a sale and swap forum.

Personal attacks and bad language will not be tolerated.

Off topic themes will generally be accepted, but please keep in mind this is primarily a model railroading group.

Be especially careful when talking of issues involving religion & politics – both are relevant to modelling parts of N.A. railroads at times but both are area’s where folk tend to get into arguments. If it’s not connected with railroading please don’t bring it up. If it is connected with railroading please do think carefully about what you’re saying before making the post.

Please continue to use your real names when posting, we are all real people not a “faceless minority”

Private “for sale” ads/private ebay links are fine - commercial posters, please use discretion…if in doubt it’s probably best to check with us first, we want to support all our US outline traders but what we don’t want is to have the list clogged with constant announcements…

Talking about products, new or old is to be encouraged on this group – however when being critical of a product, please think carefully before posting. Criticism should be as objective as possible (for example saying “Manufacturer X has a problem with feature Y” is both specific and provable – saying “Manufacturer X is a load of rubbish” may be your opinion but is pretty subjective.) Remember you are responsible for what you write, so keeping criticism objective and as factual as possible is essential – in extreme cases you could end up in court if you spread inaccurate or misleading information about a company.
