I have a copy abhiraami antaadi with Kannadasan's translation
(Tamil) with me. I can mail this book to a member who is
interested in starting a discussion (with English
translation) for ambaa-L. Others can add their comments and
suggestions to it.
One more sample from the text:

Free translation:
O my umaa! The one without second! It is indeed thee who shines
beneath all the forms! Yet thou art formless! Thou stopped my
fall long ago and gave me thy refuge. But now is it fair for thee
to deny that? From now onwards whatever I do, it is upto you to
save me. Even if I go and fall in the deep ocean (of samsara), it
is upto thee to bring me to the shore of thy mercy. For I have
completely surrendered to you.

Most complex phrase in the this verse (rest is straight forward)
is koNDathu alla enkai nanRe unakku?. It should be read as unakku
(ithu ) naanRaa? (anRu ennai thaDuththu) aaTkoNDathai alla
(enbathu)? which means: Is it fair for you to deny the fact you
gave me refuge in the past?
