Description

Founded by Ernie C. Turla, on 06-29-96 as Kapampangan Cultural
Heritage Society, ANASI is both an academy of learning and a language movement.

Its main goals are:
To save and propagate all aspects of Kapampangan culture, most
esp. the Amanung Sisuan.
To bring back that self-respect lost on among our cabalens.
To continue to find that proverbial "singsing" still missing.

These can be achieved by fulfilling the ff.:

1. To directly involve the Kapampangan language in the education of students in its region. It should replace the national language as medium in all elem. schools. In addition to that, it should be made one of the subjects in the curriculum from Kinder to 4th Yr. High.

2. To arouse in all of us love and pride for our language & ethnic identity. This can be realized by speaking Kapampangan at home & everywhere else, and by learning our history. Remember: We had a
nation of our own even before we became a part of the Philippines. And
we were the "Castilians of the islanders". Viva!

3. To intellectualize Kapampangan thru writing. To achieve this, we should augment our vocabulary on the language and learn how to write messages in it. Those that have attained a fair degree of skill in writing are encouraged to write poetry, essays, plays & fiction.

4. To study & learn the literature of writers in Kapampangan. This is achieved through workshops & seminars.

5. To prevent the formation of dialects and Tagalog enclaves within the Kapampangan nation. This can be done by familiarizing ourselves with colloquial terms common in various areas, & speaking it with all newcomers as well. We should not give in to the languages of others on our own turf.

6. To foster unity on among all Kapampangans. This can be done by forming Academia Chapters all over the world esp. in all towns and barrios in Pampanga & Tarlac.
