The Austin Alliance for Social Justice is a diverse group of fair-minded Texans committed to fighting for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights. We work with other allied progressive groups to maximize our reach, and we enjoy respectful coordination with other organizations. We welcome all like-minded individuals regardless of your political leanings to stand up for justice.

In their most vulnerable moments of life, some in our government would like to be able to step in and say to a life partner or child's parent, you are not the next of kin and have no rights, not even to legally protest. This is simply morally wrong and we will continue to stand up and fight.


Prop 2 AFTERWORD: The fight against Prop 2 hurt. However, remember that we won in Travis County! We should be proud of our record voter turnout and the local defeat of this hate-filled amendment. Stay on board to see what this love-fueled, power-driven progressive group targets next!
