Description

Welcome to Alimony Reform 2nd Wives Club

The 2nd Wives Club for Alimony Reform is a place to come and share your thoughts with other 2nd wives and/or spouses who are sharing the same sentence of lifetime alimony as their husbands.

As a 2nd wife/spouse you know the pressures and injustices that the courts have put on your shoulders while the ex is enjoying their “play money” at your expense and that of your family.

Now,is the time to let your voices be heard. There is a growing movement for reform of the lifetime alimony statute in this country. This forum is for you to be able to express yourself, share your story with others and work together to promote the reform movement.

Alone we are a single whisper in the wind but united we are a mighty voice that will not be denied by those who would try to silence us. Join us in this new fight against the tyranny of the family court system.

One more thing Carmella, is this pension transferable to you if, God forbid, your husband should pass away?  If so, I would think you would have legal rights

I can only assume since a pension is not a Federally-protected retirement fund (like an IRA/401K), but company owned, the ex will be entitled to garnish it.

Re: Social Security Administration (SSA) Garnishment
Susan: What state do you live in? I agree does anyone know if this is for certain. Also I am wondering how it works with pensions if the husband doesn't

Social Security Administration (SSA) Garnishment
Here's some food for thought.  I just got off the phone with SSA.  It now is a typical practice that Courts are ordering the SSA to garnish benefits.
