The Alibata Forum, Ancient Baybayin Scripts Network, and the Baybayin List was created and formed in the year of 2002 to help supply the growing demand of giving a growing community that advocated the highest standards for accurate education and discussion on Alibata,Philippines,Austronesians, and Austronesian Studies.

-Since then, it created opportunities to meet or debate with authors and scholars in the many scientific fields that do research on the Philippines, Indigenous Tribes of the Philippines, Philippine Linguistics,Aboriginal communities of the Philippines,Kapampangan Studies, Ethnolinguistic Groups within the Philippines, Tribal Arts,Baybayin Artists, Austronesia, alphabetic/syllabaries/logographic writing systems,
Alibata and Baybayin Scripts, their culture and heritage.

-Because there was a large community who wish to know more about their roots or about the Philippines, we carried the goal of bringing the 1st and only forum that can help anybody learn about Philippine cultures and history, and authentic information on Alibata/Baybayin Scripts and Regional Cultures and Arts. We promote accurate, and well-researched, well-supported educational information on topics related to Alibata , heritage, identity, cultural roots, and raise awareness of the cultural diversity of the Philippines.

-The Alibata forum’s formation was supported by members who wished to do interactive networking through academic discussions and scientific dialogue, so that they can meet other people who can help them answer questions that are as old as their personal journey in knowing their own history of cultural curiosity.

-Our Forum helps answer questions members may have about the Philippines, Cebuano Archaeology, Prehistoric Bicolano Art, Philippine Studies, Alibata and Baybayin Scripts, or their family’s cultural lineage.
