Thanks Pat for that. I had known that something like this was in the works but
not when or the extent of it would come out. If you study it, it essentially
eliminates the builder assistance centers that all too many kit manufacturers
these days rely on for builders to be able to complete their kits. As some of
you know, I am not, nor have I ever been, an advocate of factory builder
assistance programs. These were originally started because of poor engineering
and the rush to bring an otherwise unfinished kit design to market, but ended up
being a great income source for the manufacturer and a path around the 51
percent build rules. This puts the LP1 in a great position I believe as it is
designed for ease of building without the need to have a builder assistance
program, while it forces many existing kits to go 'back to their roots'
