The Alderney branch of the Freecycle™ organisation is open to anyone on
the island who wants to recycle something that you would otherwise throw
away or take to the Impôt. Whether it's a chair or an old fax machine,
whether it’s a pile of gardening magazines or a bag of old
toys….whatever it is, you can advertise it on line with Alderney
Freecycle. You can also post wanted ads for things that you are looking
for and that someone else might just have got stashed away in their
attic or in the cupboard under the stairs.
There is just one main rule: Everything posted must be free
and it must be legal!
Alderney Freecycle™ is open to all Island residents. Non-profit groups, schools and charities are particularly welcome to participate!
Alderney Freecycle is part of The Freecycle™ Network, a non-profit
organisation and a group of people keen on keeping "good stuff" out of
the Impôt and landfill sites elsewhere. Everything that is recycled via
Alderney Freecycle saves the community the environmental and financial
costs of waste disposal. (Please check www.freecycle.org for other
groups and information on the movement!).
