Welcome to the Alamosa area Freecycle™ group! This group is open to everyone who has something, big or small, that they no longer need but want to see it recycled for someone else's use and/or enjoyment rather than throw it away.

Please note that absolutely everything posted to this group must be FREE. This group is part of The Freecycle Network, a nonprofit organization and a movement of people interested in keeping good stuff out of landfills. Check out freecycle.org for more details.

Cities included in this Alamosa Freecyle group are Alamosa, Blanca and Fort Garland. For Freecycle groups in other San Luis Valley communities, see the Conejos County group, or the Monte Vista group. Residents of other SLV counties may join this group, though in keeping with Freecycle guidelines, non-local memberships will not be approved.

IMPORTANT: To prevent spammers from accessing member information, all pending members must verify their county of residence in order to be approved. Failing to do so will unfortunately result in denial of membership, as we just can't keep chasing folks down to find out whether or not they're legitimate. Please include your county in your request to join.
