The Royal Grand Ducal Council Of Alameda County, Inc. was founded in 1998. We are a non-profit 501c3 organization operating in Alameda County. Our purpose is to raise money to be disbursed several times a year to charities in the county, who are not subsidized by other grants. We are governed by a board of directors, who are either elected or appointed and volunteer their time. The board consist of nine members.
Each year we hold a Ducal Coronation. At this time the community selects a Royal Grand Duke and a Royal Grand Duchess to reign for one year. They are responsible for promoting the organization and various fund raisers throughout their reign. Their titles, are camp titles and are not used for the personal gain of the individuals who hold them. They answer to the Board of Directors, who have the final say in decision making for the organization.
We have been able to work with organizations within the county. So far we are very proud to say we have been able to give grants totaling into the thousands of dollars to Alameda County Charities, who are in need.
We are always looking for new people to join our organization. We meet monthly on the last Thursday of each month.
Our meeting are open to anyone who would like to attend. We encourage your input and welcome new ideas. we meet at the following location.
