Description

MODERATED discussion forum for those searching for ancestors in the State of Alabama. NO SPAM allowed.

The photo in this section has seen better days. The original is VERY large and in the possession of the granddaughter of the oldest little girl (middle). I have work to do to try to repair some of the damage. The reason I used this photo is because these three little girls are what genealogy research is all about right? Telling their story...

From left to right, Ethel Modene Riley (later Jones, then Langston), Lula (Lou Quincy) Riley (Later Wallace, then Scott) and Beva (Bevie) Owder Riley (Later McAllister).

Ethel is my great grandmother. If you are researching Wallace's or Riley's in Bibb/Perry County area, let me know.

Fw: BGS Meeting — March 24, 2012 — Counterfeiters in Early Alaba
FYI These people were in Shelby County, Tuscaloosa County and Blount County.  It is an interesting tale and involved prominent early Shelby County families.
