This group formed to search for other Alaskan mothers who have lost custody or faced custodial challenges due to any or all of the following: an abusive ex-partner who gained/challenged custody through allegations of PAS (Parental Alienation Syndrome), "experts"/court pathologizing your anxiety about your children's safety, limited monetary resources, "friendly parent" leanings, gender bias, etc. I would like to hear your stories, thoughts and opinions to see if there is a common thread or threads that could be served by legislative attention, public awareness activities and other outreach for court reform as it relates to child custody. The group is also here simply for emotional support.

Women in other states are making some progress...Alaska women are not currently being well served by the judiciary. Members of our group have already had a positive impact on Alaska family law and policy in numerous ways. Please consider joining to see how you can be a part.
