Okay, forget the photo, Yahoo keeps denying my password and will not issue
another, sorry, but I may drop out, I have no time for hassles like
this.<br><br>Caz

Hi new members! Thank-you for joining the club.
The founder of the club "Spirit7" is a great guy and
I am sure you will like it here. Please feel free
to post some of your pics in the photo albums. I am
sure people as well as myself would be interested in
seeing them. Also post messages about anything you would
like to say. Tell your friends about the club!
Babe....
Hello all. <br><br>This sounds like a good club.
I work for United Airlines and get around the
country on my spare time. So I tend to take in some
airshows when I got traveling by myself. Sounds like Ill
be checking in here often to see the
skeds.<br><br>Brian/UAL
Hi-<br>regards to the car-<br>my dad put those
decals for me. they are great and lots of times attract
MUCH ATTENTION!*<br>it intimidates people too! so,
they try racing. But lots of times peepz say:<br>"Cool
car!"<br>"Yo! wassup? awesome car there!"<br>or thumbs up sign
or people stick their heads out of their cars and
take a look at the Subaru Impreza!! <br>Right now, i'm
home on the island (long island) and relaxing! =) i go
back soon...
Basic Training<br>the biggest question I am asked
is about Basic training. I went <br>to Fort Jackson,
SC, during the hottest part of the summer (around the
<br>fourth of July) and the heat was awful. Basic was hard
enough, to add heat to it was worse. If I had thought
about it I would never have gone <br>when I did. I left
weighing 147 and when I was done I weighed 125. I could
not <br>even do one whole pushup when I shipped off.
My first 2 mile run was timed at 25 minutes, and
when I was done it was 16 , so please don’t fret
<br>about not being in shape now, you will definitely be in
shape when you are done.<br>There are three phases,
Red, white and blue. In red phase you get yelled at a
lot, at this time they are trying to make you
understand they <br>are in charge. In White phase you learn
to fire your rifle, and they <br>aren’t as hard on
you, since you play with live weapons everyday and
<br>want you unstressed. In blue phase you are treated as
a person. You are <br>much more happy in this
phase. It is so much fun knowing that you are <br>almost
ready to be a soldier, and see your family at
graduation day. <br>If you are going to AIT right from
basic, have your family bring <br>clothing with you so
that you can have it when you are allowed to during
AIT, <br>it usually takes about four weeks, and
clothes at AIT are all designer <br>and cost a lot.
<br>Things to bring?.<br>A backpack with your toothbrush and
a hairbrush, deodorant? That’s all.<br>You will be
given money (they take it out of your check later)
about <br>400.00 to buy everything they want you to
have. They will give you a <br>list when you get there.
Do not buy sneakers, they make you buy them
<br>there, whether you bought them beforehand or not. Do not
bring sports <br>bras? the ones in stores off post
aren’t as strong as the ones they have <br>there, and
you will need strong ones with the amount of running
you will <br>do. <br>Also, bring a black magic
marker- one that doesn’t wash away. You will <br>need to
write your name and social on almost everything you
own. There <br>are always thieves, even in the
army.<br>Lets see? what else? stamps, phone cards,
phone/address book (although <br>phone privilege is only for
the last phase)<br>Otherwise, remember, you are
forced to carry anything you buy. So, <br>don’t bring
anything unnecessary. They will give you plenty to
carry.<br>Don’t get upset if you don’t receive a lot of mail. I
got at least a <br>letter every day, you should shoot
for that. You can get pictures, but <br>no newspaper
articles. No food either.<br>Group showers? Don’t fret. The
only thing you will be worrying about is <br>getting
enough water to get clean. You will get filthy, and you
wont <br>care, you will just want to be clean. You
will have a relatively comfy bed, and no- it wont
break on you. If <br>it did, you will be so tired you
will sleep on the floor for comfort! <br>You will be
in bed by 9 and up by 5. One hour before bed is your
<br>personal time --to shower (with less than 30 people) write
letters, or <br>organize your personal space.<br>I hope
what I have said helps, I tried to cover as much as
possible.
Hi Kate! TY for sharing your photo album with us.
I also took note as to the graphics on your car.
Did the car come with those on it or did you have
them applied? I am thinking about adding some
detailing to my 76 vw bug. Not quite sure as to what yet.
Also where are you stationed at now? Babe....
The slow process of posting the Blue Angels' pics
has begun. The only good ones available from them are
20 megs each in size. Whew. In internet lingo, this
is not good. I'm working with berich2_80 in
obtaining these wonderful images and making them suitable
for this application... the first of which is up. ;)
(thanks Beth)
I've corresponded with Peter Steehouwer (<a href=http://www.steehouwer.com
target=new>http://www.steehouwer.com</a>), and he's positive about contributing
to a gallery of his wonderful work, on our humble little club!
This is probably one of the biggest airshows in the world, period. I've been
there 10 times from NJ. Each trip was well worth it!!!<br><br>the link: <a
