It is VERY tough to be prepared for every contingency in the world today. WWII
involved a lot of tanks, fighters and bombers. Korea was more of an Infantry
war, where close air support (CAS) was critical. Vietnam, light infantry, with
Helicopters and CAS. Desert Storm (Where I was) Tanks, Apache Helicopters,
Stealth, etc. Afghanistan and Iraq: Infantry. What will be needed next? Only
country I am worried about IMHO in an all out conflict would be something to do
with China. Otherwise, will probably be low intensity warfare.
