Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib(AS) Said:
Imam Ali heard someone abusing and blaming the world and said to
him, "O you, who are blaming the world, who have been allured and
enticed by it, and have been tempted by its false pretenses. You
allowed yourself to be enamored of, to be captivated by it and then
you accuse and blame it. Have you any reason or right to accuse it
and to call it a sinner and seducer? Or is the world not justified in
calling you a wicked knave and a sinning hypocrite? When did it make
you lose your intelligence and reasoning? And how did it cheat you or
snake false pretenses to you? Did it conceal from you the fact of the
ultimate end of everything that it holds, the fact of the sway of
death, decay and destruction in its domain? Did it keep you in the
dark about the fate of your fore- fathers and their final abode under
the earth? Did it keep the resting-place of your mothers a secret
from you? Do you not know that they have returned to dust? Many a
time you must have attended the sick persons and many of them you
must have seen beyond the scope of medicine. Neither the science of
healing nor could your nursing and attendance nor your prayers and
weeping prolonged the span of their lives, and they died. You were
anxious for them, you procured the best medical aid, you gathered
famous physicians and provided best - medicines for them. Death could
not be held back and life could not be pro- longed. In this drama and
in this tragedy did the world not present you with a lesson and a
moral? Certainly, this world is a house of truth for those who look
into it carefully, an abode of peace and rest for those who
understand its ways and moods and it is the best working ground for
those who want to procure rewards for life in the Hereafter. It is a
place of acquiring knowledge and wisdom for those who want to acquire
them, a place of worship for the friends of Allah and for Angels. It
is the place where prophets received revelations of Allah. It is the
place for virtuous people and saints to do good deeds and to be
assigned with rewards for the same. Only in this world they could
trade with Allah's Favors and Blessings and only while living here
they could barter their good deeds with His Blessings and Rewards.
Where else could all this be done? Who are you to abuse the world
when it has openly declared its mortality and mortality of everything
connected with it, when it has given everyone of its inhabitants to
understand that all of them are to face death, when through its ways
it has given them all an idea of calamities they have to face here,
and through the sight of its temporary and fading pleasures it has
given them glimpses of eternal pleasures of Paradise and suggested
them to wish and work for the same. If you study it properly you will
find that simply to warn and frighten you of the consequences of evil
deeds and to persuade you towards good actions, every night it raises
new hopes of peace and prosperity in you and every morning it places
new anxieties and new worries before you. Those who passed such lives
are ashamed of and repent the time so passed abuse this world. But
there are people who will praise this world on the Day of Judgment
that it reminded them of the Hereafter and they took advantage of
these reminders. It informed them of the effects of good deeds and
they made correct use of the information it advised them and they
were benefited by its advice".
Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib(AS) Said:
Submission to Allah's Will is the best companion; wisdom is the
noblest heritage; theoretical and practical knowledge are the best
signs of distinction; deep thinking will present the clearest picture
of every problem.
A Poem for Women in Islam - Be Proud of Hijab
By Anonymous
You look at me and call me oppressed,
Simply because of the way I'm dressed,
You know me not for what's inside,
You judge the clothing I wear with pride,
My body's not for your eyes to hold,
You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mold,
I'm an individual, I'm no mans slave,
It's Allahs pleasure that I only crave,
I have a voice so I will be heard,
For in my heart I carry His word,
" O ye women, wrap close your cloak, So you won't be bothered by
ignorant folk",
Man doesn't tell me to dress this way,
It's a Law from God that I obey,
Oppressed is something I'm truly NOT,
For liberation is what I've got,
It was given to me many years ago,
With the right to prosper, the right to grow,
I can climb moutains or cross the seas,
Expand my mind in all degrees,
For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY,
When He sent Islam,
To You and Me!

Islam and Muslims Under Attack
As the drak clouds of dust and rubble begin to clear away, the
consequences of such horrific catastrophe that has changed the
skylines of New York and the lives of thousands of innocent
civilians, are beginning to be realized. Indeed, the Young Muslims of
Canada, along with the whole Muslim community of North America, joins
their fellow Americans today in condemning and abhoring these acts of
terrorism and sympathizes with the victims of this tragedy.

Father's Name: Imam Hasan al-Askari (A.S.)
Mother's Name: Janab-e-Nargis Khatoon
Place of Birth: Samarra (Iraq. About 60 miles from Baghdad), on the
15th day of Shaban 255 A.H. (869 A.D.)
He is still living, and will appear before the end of the world.
First Heavenly Concealment (Ghaibat-e-Sughra): 8th Rabi-ul-Awwal 260
A.H.(871 A.D.)
Final Heavenly Concealment (Ghaibat-e-Kubra): 10th Shawwal 328 A.H.
(939 A.D.)
The twelfth Holy Imam Muhammad Mahdi Alaihis Salaam is the son of the
eleventh Holy Imam Hasan al-Askari Alaihis Salaam. He was born at
Samarra on the 15th Shaban. His mother's name was Janab-e-Nargis
Khatoon, and she was a Roman Princess who had embraced Islam. She was
a descendant of Simon Peter, the disciple of Jesus Christ.
BIRTH
Halima Khatoon, sister of Imam Ali an-Naqi (A.S.) relates that on the
14th of Shaban, her nephew, Imam Hasan al-Askari invited her to stay
at his house for the night, and so she stayed at the Imam's house,
and when the sun had set she broke her fast and recited some chapters
of the Holy Qur'an, according to her usual practice. She relates that
up to the last moments she observed that Nargis Khatoon did not show
any signs of pregnancy. At last, when Halima Khatoon was about to
fall asleep she saw that Nargis Khatoon was undergoing the pain, of
childbirth. On seeing this, she rendered necessary assistance, and
towards the early hours of the morning a son was born, who was
destined to fulfill the divine prophecies concerning the future
establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth.
Immediately after his birth, our Twelfth Imam (A.S.) offered the
prostration (sajdah) adoring God. He was born circumcised and with
the navel cord detached. On his right arm was the inscription: "And
say: The truth has come and the falsehood has vanished; surely
falsehood is a vanishing (thing)." (17:81).
Then Halima Khatoon took the baby to Imam Hasan al-Askari (A.S.), who
kissed him and said, "Speak, my son". And the child exclaimed, 'I
testify that there is no God but Allah, and that Muhammad is the
Apostle of Allah". Then he counted the Imams one by one until he came
to himself and said, 'O' Allah, fulfill my covenants, perfect my
service, vindicate my authority, and fill the earth with
righteousness and justice".
Halima Khatoon goes on to relate that when she visited the baby on
the next day, she saw him and heard him reciting the following verse
of the Holy Qur'an: -
"And We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak in
the land, and to make them the Imams, and to make them the heirs,"
(28:5).
After a few days, when Halima Khatoon went to see the baby again, she
found that he had disappeared. She asked Imam Hasan al-Askari (A.S.),
and was told, "He has been entrusted to God in the same way as Moses
was entrusted to God by his mother".
Shaikh Saduq relates that a few days after the birth of the Twelfth
Imam (A.S.), some white winged creatures came, and one of them
carried the Imam up to heaven. At this Nargis Khatoon began to cry,
but Imam Hasan al-Askari (A.S.) consoled her, saying, "Do not be
unhappy. Your baby will come back to you, and he will not take
anyone's milk but yours, just as Moses was nourished by his own
mother". Then Halima Khatoon asked, "Who was the winged creature?"
and Imam Hasan al-Askari (A.S.) told her that it was the Holy Spirit,
who has been deputed to guard and protect the Imams.
According to the same tradition, some forty days later, the Holy
Spirit was seen by Halima Khatoon, bringing the infant back from
heaven, and Halima Khatoon was surprised to see the child running
about, as if he had been two years old. When she asked Imam Hasan al-
Askari (A.S.) how it was possible, he answered, "This is the Will and
Grace of God".
The twelfth Imam thus grew up under the cherishing care of his
father, till the 8th of Rabi ul Awwal, 260 A.H. when the Abbaside
tyrant, Mo'tamad Billah poisoned the Eleventh Imam (A.S.), and the
twelfth Imam retired into seclusion by the command of God.
At the time of his death, Imam Hasan al-Askari (A.S.) asked his
servant Akid to prepare for him a brew of Gum-Mastic (Abi-Mastaki),
and soon the mother of the Master of the Age brought the bowl and put
it into the hands of the Imam. But when he tried to drink, his hands
trembled. He set it aside and said to Akid, 'go into that room and
have the child who is praying there come to me'. When Akid entered
the room, the child was saying his prayers. When he finished his
prayers, he was informed about his father's request. Then his mother
came and took his hand and brought him to his father. When he came
before his father, the noble child's face was luminous. The dying
Imam (A.S.) looked upon him and wept and said, 'O Master of your own
household, give me a drink, for I go to my Preserver'. The child took
the bowl, touched it to his lips in prayers, and gave it to his
father. When he drank it, he said, 'Make me ready for prayer!' So the
Master of the Age took a towel and gave his father the ceremonial
ablution, and anointed his head and his feet. The dying Imam (A.S.)
then declared, 'O my dear child, you are the Master of the Age, you
are the Mahdi, you are the Proof of Allah on earth, my child, my Wasi
(representative), and, as my offspring, you are Muhammad, my good son
a child of the Apostle, the last of the Imams, pure and virtuous. The
Apostle of Allah has informed the people about you. He has mentioned
your name and your patronymic. This is the covenant of my father that
has come down to me'. And at that moment the Imam (A.S.) died (Shaikh
Tusi).
Dear brother,
Walaikum U Salam
I am in good health, and hope to find you in the same. Yes these horror
filled images are shocking, and are enough to put a person into a severe
case of trauma. The Muslim ummah is in a terrible state, no one knows which
Muslim country will be the next victim, of the so-called anti-terrorist
onslaught. It could be me, you or any other Muslim or country.
Inorder to succeed we must unite. And pray. We need to support the oppressed
Muslims around the globe by all means. Morally, financially, literally, etc.
so that they may succeed against the state-terrorists. Please spread these
pictures, and spread the message.
May Allah bless us with victory, and those who sacrifice their respective
lives in this noble cause, a high place in Jannah.
Sincerely,
Hamza

Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib said:
Anyone who has been granted four attributes will not be deprived of
their (four) effects; one who prays to Allah and implores to Him will
not be deprived of granting of his prayers; one who repents for his
thoughts and deeds will not be refused acceptance of the repentance;
one who has atoned for his sins will not be debarred from salvation
and one who thanks Allah for the Blessings and Bounties will not be
denied the increase in them. The truth of these facts is attested by
the Holy Qur'an As far as prayers are concerned He says Pray to Me
and I shall accept your prayers. About repentance He says: Whoever
has done a bad deed or has indulged in sin and then repents and asks
for His forgiveness will find Allah most Forgiving and Merciful.
About being thankful He says if you are thankful for what you are
given, I shall increase My Bounties and Blessings. About atonement of
sin He says Allah accepts the repentance of those who have ignorantly
committed vice and then soon repent for it, Allah accepts such
repentance's, He is Wise and Omniscient.

Retaliation is typical human nature, it is not terrorism!
America, India, Russia, Britain, Israel are the biggest terrorists, they

Yes...couldnt have said better myself. In order to eliminate terrorism, we
must cut off it's roots. America, India, Russia, Britain, Israel are indeed
the biggest terrorists, and they must mend their ways before pointing
fingers at others.

Subject: [ahlilbait5] Islam Against Terrorism
In the Name of God the Compassionate, the Merciful
God, the Almighty says in Holy Quran:
-And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just
cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his
heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying;
surely he is
aided.
Chapter17: verse33
According to the preceding glorious verse, Allah has forbidden
killing any innocent soul and it is deemed as a great sin unless whom
the legislation has ordered for the purpose of justice. There is no
mass murder in Islam. Even, suicide for any reason and purpose is
considered a major sin and the one who commits it will not be
forgiven and will abide in the hell forever.
Islam as the religion of justice and peace is the real defender of
human rights and is against terrorism in any kind of it. Muslims do
not support any terrorist actions all over the world. They themselves
are the victims of terrorism. For this, they have condemned the last
terrible attack to the innocent people in New York and Washington and
deeply sympathized with their families. However, the American Zionist
media, as before, has attempted to relate this genocide to the world
of Islam and Muslims. Only a few minutes after the occurrence of this
tragedy in NY, the American media aggressively connected it to the
Islamic countries with no proof. In order to deviate the public
opinion, the anti-Islamic media showed the scene in which some
Palestinian people were cheering up as if they were happy for this
tragedy. That scene actually refers to the time of Saddam's attacks
to Tel Aviv during the Persian Gulf war and does not have anything to
do with this tragedy.
If the US security agencies were so systematically alert to discover
the connection between this attack and the Islamic countries during
the first 6 minutes after its occurrence, why could not they prevent
it from being happened?! Even if there are authentic proofs to
clarify the relation between some Muslims and this terrorist attack,
it would not be fair to describe a great divine religion as the
religion of terror. Nonetheless, no one has condemned Christianity
and Judaism because of Hitler, Churchill, Stalin, Truman, Nixon,
Sharon and many other homicides for what they have committed in the
history.
From the military and political viewpoints, last terrorist action
could not be directed from outside USA, as it has been so complicated
operation that they have not found any clear signs yet to be related
to the alien groups except than some baseless claims. In addition, no
hijack had been announced by the pilots of those four airplanes,
which were hit to the Pentagon and world trade center in NY.
According to FBI and Washington post, 3 of the pilots were Vietnam
veterans and the fourth had lost his brother in Vietnam war. Also,
one of them was a dismissed officer of the army who had worked in
pentagon as a terrorist strategist.
Astonishingly enough, none of the 4100 Jewish Zionists went to their
works in the world trade center in that day and also the Israeli's
prime minister's flight to NY had been canceled the day before.
The matter of fact is that Osama bin Ladin- the former CIA spy- and
other Taliban troops have been trained in USA and gained the power in
the region with the support of USA.
Any terrorist action against any innocent human is condemned, no
matter who and where he is. Terrorism is condemned whether it is in
New York, Palestine or Afghanistan.
As its history witnesses, the US government is itself the greatest
supporter of terrorism and the root of any war in the world. The
largest stores of armaments, warships, arsenals, mass destructive
weapons, chemical and atomic bombs underneath the oceans, above the
sky, under the ground, in the seas and outside the atmosphere, which
is known as the star war, all are the vivid witnesses for its
terrorist policies.
US government's history is full of genocide and atrocities against
the nations and began with the killing the innocent native Indians
for centuries.
Killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Hiroshima and
Nagasaki with the atomic bombs in 1945, which was ordered by Harry
Truman, the former president of USA, is a shameless disgrace and a
clear sign of terrorism.
History will not forget that anti human war in Vietnam in which
hundreds of thousands of innocent people were killed by US army in
their own home for no guilt.
The US imperialist government invaded Panama and committed many
crimes as well as kidnapping its legal president, Daniel Noriega and
killing thousands of innocent people only to support its own benefits
in Central America.
US government, as a terrorist regime, supported Saddam militarily,
politically and economically during the imposed war against Iran in
which 1000,000 innocent Iranians were killed by American, Russian and
other western weapons for 8 years! US military troops destroyed the
industrial and oil installations in Iran and killed many innocent
people.
History will never forget that terrorist attack in which the US Navy
shot the Iranian airbus above the Persian Gulf in 1989 and murdered
290 innocent civilian passengers. Not only they did not apologize for
this brutality, but also the former US president Bush rewarded the
commander of that US airplane carrier for his bravery!
Have you ever been a Palestinian? If you were a Palestinian, you
would not forgive the US government for its unconditional supports of
the racist, Zionist, illegal terrorist regime of Israel which has
occupied Palestine for 50 years and committed the most shameless
atrocities against the unarmed people of Palestine in their own
home.
US government as a terrorist regime does not deserve to be the leader
of the world movement against terrorism. The attack against the
innocent people of Afghanistan who are dying from starvation is
itself a greater terrorist attack and no more than a political game.
This war is only targeted to provide the permanent presence of USA in
the Middle East and support the benefits of imperialists in the
region. In essence, terrorism is strictly condemned whether it is in
NY or in Afghanistan.

In the Name of God the Compassionate, the Merciful
God, the Almighty says in Holy Quran:
-And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just
cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his
heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying;
surely he is

Gravity of Earth in Holy Quran
Introduction
Undoubtedly, everyone before Newton had felt the existence of a
mysterious force inside the earth, which draws everything to itself,
but apparently, no one had a clue before him about the generality of
this law throughout the universe; among the heavens, planets, stars,
giant galaxies and even between two small particles.
Absolutely, Newton in 12th century, was the first man who perceived
this great law, by being inspired of dropping an apple. The discovery
of this law was so important that some scientists have named the 17th
century as "The century of Newton". He proved that every two bodies
attract each other in direct ratio of masses and reversed ratio of
squared distances".(1)
Does the Quran have anything to say about the existence of this
phenomenon, i.e. the tendency of earth to draw everything to itself
as the law of gravity? To find the answer, we should take the
following verse into consideration:
-Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself? (2)
Chapter77: verse25
Is not this really wonderful?! We suppose that this Quranic
description of this phenomenon is so vivid for the readers that there
is seemingly no need for any particular scientific explanation.
However, to obtain a background on the concept of gravity and its
relation with the mentioned verse, we offer you an overview of what
Newton presented under the "laws of Mechanics", which have been
dominant till the present time, as the "principles of
Mechanics".
Scientific Viewpoint
Gravitation is the mutual attraction of all masses in the universe.
While its effect decreases in proportion to distance squared, it
nonetheless applies, to some extent, regardless of the sizes of the
masses or their distance apart.
The concepts associated with planetary motions developed by Johannes
Kepler (1571-1630) describe the positions and motions of objects in
our solar system. Isaac Newton (1643-1727) later explained why
Kepler's laws worked, by showing they depend on gravitation. Albert
Einstein (1879-1955) posed an explanation of how gravitation works in
his general theory of relativity.
In our solar system, planetary motions are orbits gravitationally
bound to a star. Since orbits are ellipses, a review of ellipses
follows.(3)
Newton's Principles of Mechanics
Classical mechanics is governed by three basic principles, which were
first formulated in the 17th and 18th centuries by Isaac Newton.
These principles are known as Newton's laws. He realized that the
force that makes apples fall to the ground is the same force that
makes the planets "fall" around the sun. Newton had been asked to
address the question of why planets move as they do. He established
that a force of attraction toward the sun becomes weaker in
proportion to the square of the distance from the sun.
The first law describes a fundamental property of matter, called
inertia, as follows:
1. Every body remains in a state of rest or in a state of uniform
motion (constant speed in a straight line) unless it is compelled by
impressed forces to change that state.
Under this law a moving body is at rest, as far as its own inertia is
concerned, as long as its motion continues at the same speed and in
the same direction. Therefore, particles (or even worlds) of matter
will keep flying through empty space forever, without being driven by
any force, until something compels them to change their motion.
Newton's second law describes the manner in which a force compels a
change of motion, at a rate of change called acceleration. It can be
stated as follows:
2. Change of motion is proportional to the impressed force and takes
place in the direction of the straight line in which that force is
impressed.
This law is often stated in a different manner: the net force acting
on a body is equal to the product of the body's mass times the
resulting acceleration. It can be stated much more simply as a
formula, using letters for force, mass, and acceleration: F=ma. The
wording of the law, however, makes clear how an impressed force acts.
It simply compels a change in the body's motion--its speed or
direction--toward the direction in which the force is acting.
Newton's third law may be stated as follows:
3. Action and reaction are equal and opposite.
This law is often expressed as "for every action there is an equal
and opposite reaction." The law states a fact that can upset many
calculations unless it is taken into account.
It explains, for example, the saying that a man cannot literally lift
himself by his own bootstraps. As he pulls up on his bootstraps, the
bootstraps pull down on him. Action and reaction are equal and
opposite. A striking modern example of action and reaction is jet
propulsion.(4)
Quranic Viewpoint
The word "Kefatan" in the verse is derived from the word " Kafata"
which in Arabic means: "(It) drew something to itself",(5) or "it
held it back".(6) Therefore, the mentioned word, as an adjective,
describes the earth as having the feature of drawing everything
toward itself. In the meantime, this word somehow implies the concept
of the mutual attraction between the two things too. This is why, the
word "together" is used in the translation to comment this concept by
Shakir, the famous translator of the Quran.
Needless to say, all these implications about this phenomenon are all
explicitly in accordance with scientific facts. However, 1000 years
before Newton this verse had been revealed in the Quran:
-Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself?
Chapter77: verse25
This verse is indeed a wonderful miracle, which proves the divinity
of Holy Quran as a revelation from God Almighty.
