Lino,

Fulvio & I would like to convey our profound congratulations to the
Steering Committee, especially to Lino(Kano), for successfully
pulling off such a grand feat of gathering the Aguilar Clan, and for
initiating the Family Tree.  We agree it is about time we delve into
our Roots, and how we came about, if only to prove we are just One
Big Tribe, as numerous as the stars, and as constant.  Some shine
even brighter than the rest;  others go through life in a flash and
are gone in 60 seconds, as a comet does.

Although we could not make it to the first ever Aguilar Reunion, we
hope to attend the second one, should the Steering Committee decide
to have a second go for it. There is always room for improvement -
haven't we seen this line enough in our report cards?

We heard updates of the event, and even if my family was
inadvertently left out from the tree, we know it was just your
oversight. (And I thought we've known each other all our lives! Ha!
Ha!) No one is, after all, perfect.  The same goes with plans - we
plan for a success, we work hard at it, but there are always infinite
chances to do better next time.

So Kano, maybe  for the next Aguilar De Barili Reunion, could we hope
to be very well informed in advance? And perhaps, our forefather,
Raymundo Aguilar would be greatly proud from the world beyond, to see
how his descendants represent his lineage.  This is, after all, the
essence of FAMILY.

We just had our reunion last Saturday and Sunday. The attendance was
quiet good. For the information of those paryente nga way maka
attend sa reunion. Last Saturday Jan 7, 2006, the registration
started at 1 pm and by 3:30 the reunion proper was opened by an
invocation lead by Joe Barba and then followed by Mayor Chuck Nemeno
for opening remarks. Then it was my turn to be infront for the
rationale of the reunion and then followed by Fr. Nilo Nemeno with
history of Tan Usep. This was the longest part because each branch
of the five sons of tan Usep had their time discussing their
respective genealogy. The events where very interesting and
revealing to know your paryente. Many came home who are already
residing in Manila, Davao and some other parts of the country just
to be with us during the occassion. At 5:30 we had an anticipated
mass officiated by Fr. Nilo. Then we had salosalo and then it was
followed by some band entertainment by some local talents whose
members are all within the Aguilar clan. They stayed up to midnight.
The following day , Sunday we had a parade from the sports complex
going to the site where Tan Usep used to live near the southern dike
and put the marker and followed by wreath laying ceremony. Then we
proceeded to go around the town passing the Mercado area and back
tos the sports complex business meeting , and some other activiteis
like family tree book distribution and raffles of prizes. At 12:00
noon lunch was serve right after the pictorial of each clan and we
close the activity at around 1pm.

side of Tio Paking cuz I can't locate relatives on

The steering committee decided that the reunion date will be moved from
Jan 14 -15, 2006 to Jan. 7 - 8, 2006. The reason is that the previous
dates falls on the sinulog. We dont want to compete on the sinulog.
Thats why we decided to move it a week before the sinulog.

The Program will be posted later on probably by the mid of December.

Again we would like to make an appeal for donations. This will be used
to defray expected expenses like food, sound system, drinks and some
other expenses related to the event. We will try to make this event as
meaningful as possible. If you from Cebu City, we would like inform
everybody that we are holding meetings in preparation for the reunion.
If you desire to attend the meetings pls. call the undersign at 415 -
9249 for the meeting sked and venue.

the reunion for the aguilar clan has been moved from Dec. 17, 2005 to Jan.
14 - 15 2006. Everybody is very much welcome and expected to attend so
that will have wholesome get together during this event. Pls. give us some
suggestion on how we are going to make it more memorable and more
enjoyable.

We would like to appeal also that we can use some help and donation from
you to defray some expected expenses like food for those who will come
from far away places and for those who are less fortunate nga mga

Welcome to our group website. I have already up loaded the coat of
arms but when I open up today, I can,t seem to find find it. I don't
know what happened. Anyway, you can find our family tree
under "files". You can open it and try to see if the entries of your
concern are correct. Today we celebrate sinulog here in Cebu. Alegre
kaayo diri. Gahapon namrocession mi diri taas kaayo and very solemn.
I am planning to talk with our pariente here so that we can decide
kon kanus a ta mag reunion. This will be the first. I hope mo
participate sila. This will be also an appropriate time to launch
our first edition of our family tree book. Hope you can come home on

Hello Tom & Annie,

  Ann, I must have seen you already because I used to go to Terry
when i'm in BArili. I had a Botica in Barili in 1995 and almost all
the prescription of Terry were being filled up by us. Our house is
at the back of Tiya Saling Estrada. Kanang eskena atbang sa ilang
Tiya Ayen ug Joe Aguilar. I'm trying collect some pic of our
grandparents so that we can make a verycomprehensive book of our
ancestry. It would be wothwhile making cuz it will be making our
history for our grandchildren in the succeding generation to come.
Have you attended the fiest they had in Sacramento? Alegre kuno
kaayo. We'll its for now i'm kinda busy, just arrived from Barili
and Dumanjug had some business. Its nice to be hearing from you from
time to time.

   Sorry for my late reply, I've been very busy putting up a business
on solid waste management. Anyway, Ive talk to mellie nga nangumusta
ka. She was very happy. I'll give her your address so she cud write
you. Socrates (Boy) Aguilar died in Australia last Sept 8 and his
daughter  Cristes died of cancer last July in New York.Can't stay
long catch up next time

I'm very happy that you dropped by the site. Please register
yourself so that you can can use the site to reach our relatives.
If your uncle is Dr. Terry, yoou must be one of my nieces cuz Terry
and I are cousins. Have gone over the files of our family tree I
uploaded? Pls. do so and send me the correction if there are any.
Could you refresh me on where did you reside in Barili cuz I can't
remember you, sorry on this, anyway its nice to know that you're in
the US. As for me I still live here in the Phil. My children are all
grown ups. Maybe I'll go there for a vacation cuz its kinda late for
me to settle there. Do You know Socrates (Boy) Aguilar? He just
passed away in Australia. His daughter Christes died two months ago
in New York. Sorry again, for the morbid news. We'll until next time
