Kenneth Gladney Receives Family Advocate Award
August 6, 2009
On this day Kenneth Gladney was handing out "Don't Tread on Me" flags at Rep.
Russ Carnahan's town hall meeting in South St. Louis County when he was
approached by three representatives of the Service Employees International
Union. One SEIU member demanded to know what a black man was doing passing out
the flags. A different SEIU representative used racist slurs against Mr.
Gladney, but he refused to back down.
The SEIU members assaulted Gladney, who suffered injuries from being punched in
the face, knocked down, and brutally kicked in the head and back by them.
Mr. Gladney bravely stood up against the liberal goon squad sent to silence him
and bravely defended our freedoms against the socialist thugs. Public Advocate
commends Kenneth Gladney for his courage and bravery while standing up for
freedom of speech.
Three arrests have been made and Mr. Gladney has been sent to the hospital for
treatment of his injuries. He was beaten for simply passing out patriotic flags.
He has since used his experience to launch Project liberty, an education program
indented to teach young Americans about their fundamental rights under the
Constitution.
