This group is a place for adults with sensory integration problems to contact one another; to share experiences, information and suggestions. For those of us who were not diagnosed and treated as children, it is a place to know we are not alone. After years (and years) of not understanding and not being understood, we have developed our own coping strategies which may be of help to others. Please come and share your thoughts. Friends/spouses of adults with sensory problems are also welcome. Perhaps we can help you to understand and suggest ways to help you relate to one another. The basic signs/symptoms of sensory integration disorder may be found on several other sites. There is much information about children; adults have other issues to deal with. Functioning in the 'real world' of jobs, relationships, driving, shopping, etc, can be very difficult for us. What causes problems for you? What techniques do you use for coping?
