Sir,
I'm going to be as respectful as possible here....You have
chosen to spend your time and energy on something that I think
is ill-chosen....Having gone through several years of infertility
myself, I do have some idea how easy it can be to focus on
external issues, when the real issue is how we feel about our
infertility.
No, in fact I shouldn't be on their payroll, since I do see cons with
the program. I have simply chosen to acknowledge that there
are "problems" with adoption in general and any place you go,
I'm sure you would find many "disgruntled" clients.
The bottom line to me is: if you joined and spent the
money....instead of thinking that money has bought you a baby
(which is illegal!), focus on the services and what you can do to
speed it along.....
I have no interest in posting anymore on this group. It seems to
me from reading over the past view days that there are only a
handful of people on here. I believe the IAC has completed over
2000 adoptions--the odds are in their favor. Not to mention that
those on the other egroup are already mentioning how this
group is pointless, misguided and overly negative (their words,
not mine)....
Again, I wish you much success, but choose to live my life (which
is precious) in a more positive fashion....If you want a cause to
champion, take on one that has more far-reaching
implications--I think your intelligence and energy would really
make a difference....If your passion is adoption, how about
making the laws more fair to adoptive parents? Making birth
records more assessible to those older adoptees? So many
things much more important require our time and attention.
Best regards....
