My name is Angela. My husband Ernie and I have voiced our concerns
to IAC regarding the lack of contact by any birthmoms. They continue
to tell us that we must network and that we need to explore and link
our website to other websites. What I found frustrating is that they
continue to take in couples at a much higher rate than they have
birthmoms. We have now been sent a notice that our Home Study will
expire in September and we are reluctant to incur any additional
costs. On the other hand, IAC states that they will have to change
our client status from 'current' to 'hold'. I am not sure what the
bet course of action is at this point and would like to get some
feedback. Has anyone succeeded in getting a refund from IAC for part
of their initial deposit? She we just go ahead and pay the $200 to
renew our home study? What we really would like to do, like I am
sure many of you would like, is get our money back and split but I
know that IAC claims that they do not give refunds.

Any feedback from other adopion talk members would be greatly
appreciated.

That is VERY helpful! The only other problem we could foresee with using the IAC homestudy toward an adoption done by an attorney or facilitator is when a...
