ADOPTION PARENTING: This e-group provides information, resources and insightful advice from professionals and from "parent experts". Sponsored by EMK Press (www.emkpress.com), a publisher of adoption books for children and free resources for parents.

Please note you need to be parenting adopted children in your home to be a member. A questionnaire will be emailed to you upon application and we need the answers to be able to approve you.

This is not a chat list, rather a venue to exchange ideas and to look at differing parenting philosophies, based on the topic at hand. Each of us approaches the how-to's of parenting our children in different ways, and we want to share what works, what doesn't and when to look for guidance outside our parent-circle.

The format is a topic driven and topics last for a period of 2 weeks to allow time for parents to respond. We encourage submission of ideas, questions and articles by all participants. Comments should center on the topic if possible. Topics will be archived. PLEASE NOTE: REPOSTING OF THE TOPICS ON OTHER LISTS IS NOT ALLOWED. Instead, please send a link to this group.
