We´re looking for a tax accountant/lawyer who is used to working with expats. If there is someone in this group, or if you have a name to suggest that would be greatly appreciated.
We live in Europe, my husband, who is American, did not file for the tax year 2008, since he didn´t have much of an income, not only was his income below the ceiling for the foreign income earned exemption, it was also below the general filing requirement.
Now our adoption agency tells us that he has to file. We´re not sure why, but want to comply, problem is his accountant doesn´t seem to know how to handle this, and we need help from someone who has experience working with expats.
Any ideas?
