| Hello I can understand your concern Holly so I will try to clarify here. You can also see more by going to globalorphanoutreach.blogspot.com I was asked many months ago to help Matthew by helping to obtain a medical visa for him to get help. I was at that time; helping another little boy come out of Liberia on a medical visa who had hydrocephalus. Because it had been some time since the last medical visa was issued for a child in Liberia and because that child was Not returned to the country; the embassy and the ministry of Justice were apprehensive in issuing one. It took me 5 months but they finally did. Because I didnt want to put too much time into one child just to be turned down; I put Matthew's case on the bk burner you might say while I worked on the other case. I hope this doesnt confuse you but they were tied in. :0) Nye- the first boy left in May so I then went back to inquire about Matthew's case which brought about the rest of the story. (go to the blog) At any rate; Global Orphan Outreach is working with the ministry of health/justice to help him receive a medical visa to obtain help here for his back. He could not leave until he had surgery for his hernia which cost abit a money as well. So yes the host family is raising funds not only to help cover those costs of the medical bills but also funds for getting Matthew here for treatments. I have not authorized anyone to use pictures taken of him by us or my contact with exception to the Mazur family so if you are getting them else where,,, I am sorry. I dont know what to tell you. I agree that if we all pitch in- we can help this child. Being as adoptions are closed in Liberia yet- what a better way to help a child from Liberia then pitching in together. All differences aside- this should be about the Mattew.(who is feeling much better by the way and in foster care) If you have any questions about this case or other work Global is doing; feel free to contact me at #715-415-4401 Donna --- On Sun, 7/12/09, holly2@... <holly2@...> wrote:
