The is the e-newsgroup for Adopted Vietnamese International, moderated by David Fisk, a VN adoptee living in the USA. This is an open forum for people who are adopted from Vietnam or who are adopted elsewhere from overseas and/or transracially. Adoptive parents, birth parents, spouses, siblings, friends and supporters are also able to join but need to remain respectful to the differing viewpoints of adoptees. We also have a facebook group 'Adopted Vietnamese International' that you can join.

Please note that this egroup is *not* confidential but is aimed for circulating general enquiries, special and social events notices and news messages that relate to the adopted Vietnamese community as a group. Members may choose to share their searching posts or give permission to modertors to do so on their behalf but we also encourage you to check out the 'Searching for Birthparents Page' at www.adoptedvietnamese.org to find out how to add your details to the searching register.

Humanitarian aid posts are welcome, but members are responsible to research a group or aid project for its validity. Researchers and journalists may join but are required to announce their presence and provide a statement of ethical considerations and seek consent of any individuals they wish to quote, including from any material they find in the archives.

The main moderator in USA and support moderator in Australia for this egroup both work FT so posts may take a little while to be approved. Moderators reserve the right to remove members who have had reports about them demonstrating unethical or upsetting behaviour, or whose interests are simply not well matched to this group.
