The Friends Of Adams Mill (FOAM) was created by local residents who want to reverse the increasing traffic nuisance on Adams Mill Road in NW Washington DC. Adams Mill Road runs into a vibrant residential neighborhood in Adams Morgan, complete with a pre-school and a playground and the National Zoo. Yet this very pedestrian street is used like a speedway by commuters and no one pays heed to the 25 mph speed limit! Residents have been also particularly annoyed with the recent rumble strips which have done nothing to slow traffic and only made things worse with a lot more traffic noise for all who live along the street.
FOAM invites all concerned neighbors to join in supporting and reviewing a new "traffic calming master plan" for Adams Mill Road. We seek your ideas and comments.
