Hailsa Parents,

Welcome to the first Folkish, Odinist Home Education group. It is the intention of AHHE to provide parents with support to tackle the job educating our most precious resource and key to the future—Our Children. This isn't just for home schoolers, in fact it is for all parents that choose to take a hand in the education of their children. Regardless if you home school or out bound school, I hope all parents partake in this resource. We will also provide and outlet for educational expression through activities that educate the public about our Community.

At each monthly meeting we will not only have a social outlet for parents, but also for our children. We will have games, crafts, presentations, or just plain old horsing around! The idea is to get our families together to help foster a sense of community and also involve our children in our community. Also, as time passes we hope to become large enough to once again revive the Folk School under the name Acorn Hollow Academy. This school will provide parents with educational choice, something sorely lacking in our Community. Although the term Odinist is used, this is only a label chosen for ease of conversation. Any Folkish Northern European Pre-Christian religious title that one feels expresses their spirituality best is welcomed!

Our first Goal as a group is to just start getting together and enjoy each others company. There is a theme for each meeting, but it isn't rigid. The idea is to make this a fun atmosphere where spirituality and heritage can be expressed in safety. Later we would like to start incorporating more outward activities such as plays, art shows and science fairs.

We are so glad to have everyone here. We hope you enjoy your time with us. This is a collaborative group, so please give your suggestions, tips, tricks, etc... so our children can succeed!
