As part of the celebration of the 110th anniversary of Philippine
Independence from Spain, Chicago-area Filipino and Filipino American
writers, in cooperation with the Evanston Public Library and
Philippine American Writers and Artists, Inc. (PAWA, Inc.), will read
from their work in the new anthology, Field of Mirrors, An Anthology
of Philippine American Writers on Saturday, June 7 at the Evanston
Public Library (Main branch, 1703 Orrington Ave., Evanston Il) from 2
to 4 p.m.

The following writers will read: Rey E. de la Cruz, Rey Escobar,
Almira A. Gilles, Susan T. Layug, Jennifer M. Macagba, J. Mark Munoz -
- all from the Chicago area, Lewanda Lim from Ohio and Edwin A.
Lozada from California. Special guests are Chicago writers Eduardo
Cruz Eusebio and Bea C. Rodriguez.

The band Bagwis http://www.myspace.com/bagwisband and musician David
Wycoco http://www.davidwycoco.com/ will provide live entertainment.
Light refreshments will be served.

The anthology, recently published by PAWA Inc. and edited by its
president Edwin A. Lozada, features seventy-one writers, both
emerging and well-established, from around the United States.
