This list is to be used to discuss any issues related to Canadians (predominantly French-Canadians and Acadians), including genealogy queries, history, society, culture, religion, occupations, political history, education, and language. Members may also discuss genealogy resources, including new or existing books or magazines, book publishers, public or private libraries, archives, websites, and genealogy societies. Formerly affiliated with a genealogical society until January 20, 2003, the list became independent after that date. There is no link or connection (official, unofficial, formal, informal or otherwise) to any genealogical organization anywhere. Membership on this list is open to any person, anywhere, belonging to any genealogical organization (or not belonging to any).
