The History Society of ACC is an organization created to provide a forum for student led discussion and exploration of popular topics in or relating to history. To create events that members may wish to attend, sponsor, and to support lectures by faculty or visiting historians; for example, the Emeritus Professors Lecture Series, and the holding of an essay contest open to all full-time or part-time A.C.C. students. To promote the study of history outside the classroom and in the community. To hold an annual workshop that focuses on how to study, analyze, and write history. Additionally, the workshop will have information on professional history associations and career information for history majors.
