Who Are We?

HiM is a Christian Ministry reaching the homeschool community with the gospel of Christ. Our goals are to support each other as Christians and Homeschoolers, to teach the Bible, grow as Christians, and to offer learning opportunities and activities for our homeschooled children. We enjoy hands-on learning, fun, and fellowship. Children and parents enjoy the chance to meet people with common interests that we can see on a regular basis. This is a family ministry and all children must have a parent on site and contributing in some manner.

What Do We Do?

Parents teach classes based on areas of interest and ability. Elementary aged children use the Five in a Row Curriculum to explore classic children’s literature in various subject areas including Bible. They will also be offered two or more classes in various subjects apart from Five in a Row. Middle and High School aged students will choose from limited choices which vary by semester but always include one or more Bible studies. Preschool and Nursery are offered for younger siblings so parents will be free to teach or assist in classes. All ages will be required to take a Bible Study or Bible based class.



We also plan educational and social field trips, holiday parties, and Mom’s night out.



Where Are We?

We are a Ministry of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church on West Pea Ridge in Huntington, WV. Our families come from all over the tri-state area.

When Do We Meet?
We meet on alternating Monday afternoons from 1pm – 4pm.

New families are welcome to join at the beginning of new semesters in January or August. Classes are such that it would be difficult to enter mid-semester.

The yahoo group is open to any homeschooler interested in joining the co-op, attending field trips, or looking for help and advice.
