Description

AACsmalltalk . . .
something new and very cool,
a place for kids who use AAC

AACsmalltalk is a safe* and fun listserv for kids who use AAC and their friends. A listserv is a group of kids who have something in common. When you send an email to the listserv, your message goes to all of us but you just write the letter once. You only need a computer and an email address. We're going to "small talk" about fun stuff and some important stuff, too.

List moderators:
Jill E. Senner (j_senner@hotmail.com)
Pam Harris (pam_harris@comcast.net)
Shelley H
To receive your copy of AAC Small Talk Tips (a kid-friendly guide to e-mail), go to the downloads page of http://www.technologyandlanguage.com

For information on "Safe Surfing," go to Kids Domain Safe Surfing at http://www.kidsdomain.com/brain/computer/surfing/index.html

*Parent/Teacher: A moderator is always available for questions or to provide more information.

AACsmalltalk is a moderated listserv. This means that every e-mail you send to the list is read by Jill, Pam, or Shelley. If the message is okay, everyone on the list will be able to read it. If it's not okay, they will e-mail you and tell you why everyone can't read it.

AACsmalltalk is also restricted. Only people who fill out the member information e-mail will be allowed to join.

Each child MUST have a designated adult support person who is responsible for monitoring appropriateness of e-mail postings for their child and who is responsible for making sure that their child follows safe-surfing rules.
