Both those willing to tutor homeschoolers and homeschoolers looking for tutors or mentors will appreciate this list.

It is also a list for those trying to set up independent study programs for a small group of homeschooled students, and those interested in finding such a study arrangement.

It is a list for those in some field of expertise who would be willing for a parent and child to visit with them at their place of work, to be a mentor for a teen interested in your occupation.

This is not a list for arranging babysitting! Parents or other responsible family member should be nearby at all times during a tutoring session. Tutors should also insist on this for their own reputation.

While all may view the postings, members have the advantage of being able to use the Yahoo Group features, for example, the chat room, to use for mentoring chats. They may use the calendar to post to the others about an event of interest to homeschoolers.
