A1G: A group for the discussion, trading and buying and selling of the "Atlas 1st Generation" of N Scale model railroad equipment. The A1G series was manufactured in Europe by Roco and Rivarossi and marketed in North America by the Atlas Tool Company of Hillside, New Jersey in the late 1960's and 1970's. There were more than 150 individual pieces of rolling stock in this series.

While no longer "state of the art" the A1G was among the first comprehensive offering in N Scale and helped it grow from its humble beginnings, and is thus an important part of the history of our scale. All of the freight and passenger cars from the A1G series (excepting variations of the same cars) are posted on my website, as are links to companion sites that discuss and depict the A1G locomotives and the "A1.5G" freight car kits(!).
