In recent years, a surprising number of adoptive families have learned that their child, adopted from China, has a biological sibling who has also been adopted. These newly discovered siblings may or may not have been adopted from the same SWI or CWI. The purpose of this group is to allow interested families to post photos of their children, adopted from the Zhejiang Province, in hopes that another family might see a resemblance to their own child, and pursue additional information. This group is also a place to discuss issues which may arise as a result of finding a sibling child. While the discovery of a biological relative is both exciting and of profound significance for our children, there are also potential pitfalls and ramifications to be considered. Thus, in addition to providing a safe venue for posting photos and adoption info of our children, this group is also intended to be a safe and secure place to discuss issues surrounding sibling searches.
