> So basically this is "Kat Kon," and not Anime North? ;P

Not really I'm just... how do they like to put it... Memorable! Plus I've
been going to AN for about 4 or 5 years now. So I'm pretty well known.

> Party would be rad. Or even just a little reception where folks

AN isn't a very small con anymore. I don't think they have ever had a
message board thing or anything like that at AN.. hmmm...

> If there are official badges, how would we go about obtaining one? I
> know! In the aforementioned reception room! :D

If everyone is okay with the whole badge idea then I'd say the best place
would be at my table in the dealers room or try and grab one of use before
it opens (I know I'm stuck in some sort of Meet the Guest thing from 3 pm
until the dealers room opens and running here and there before that, so
just look for a nut in a trenchcoat running around in circle and you will
probly have found me >^_^<)

I'm never flippant...I was being totally serious. :-)

You know, I think everyone thinks I'm so funny because otherwise they'd
start to worry about the stuff I say. LOL

Another weird thing I just remembered about British law... anal sex
is legal between men, but technically illegal between a man and a
woman. I think it's just one of those old laws they never got around
to repealing. Between two women? Well, as I said, lesbians don't
legally exist here, so you'd probably be okay ^_^

This conversation is getting decidedly odd.

A friend of mine (who is, admittedly, a W/T fan) explained Tara this
way: Oz was cool. He had a lot of fans. The Willow/Oz relationship
had a lot of fans. They had to make Tara as completely inoffensive
as humanly possible to even begin to skeetch by the OzFans.

Admittedly, I've not seen many of the Oz episodes, but in the few eps
I've seen, he's been either skeevy or a flaming asshole, which makes
me think that he's well gone.

Yeah, right. Then you could complain about a character they'd
made "too cool to be believed".

Not seen "The Body", I take it? How about "Once More With Feeling",
with the implied oral sex?

LOL. So they chose a nice inoffensive lesbian relationship and
whitewashed it so the general public could swallow it. Smile.

>>How is this for funny. When I mentioned that we were going to have a "Lesbian Catgirl" at the table. you won't beleive the first thing out of the program head's mouth. "What.. what age is she?" he looked worried but when I told him 18 he let out a sigh of relief. What does it matter if she was 14 (age of consent for lesbians in Canada.. yes we have a graduated age of consent out here) and  it is not like Alex is going to be doing anything questionable *looks at Alex* right?<<

So you're going to introduce me to this guy so I can ask him if he was straight before he turned 18, right? Or does it not count before then? =^.^=

Eh-heh. -_-' I don't watch the show, 'cept for pausing briefly while
channel surfing to see if it has possibly reached some level of
decent viewing. It has yet to meet those standards for me.

As for Willow- didn't that actress play that band girl on "American
Pie"?

you'll hear objections of "they're too young!" while the very same

*smirks* The alcohol law is the same in Louisiana, but being that
most of us are French-Cajun, we've been drinking it since we were
kids anyway. Heck, high schools have this prom oath that goes
something like, "I promise not to consume alcohol and drive or get in
a vehicle with a driver who has been drinking." O.o See?! They don't
even bother asking us not to DRINK! They just don't want us to drink
and DRIVE at the same time. (Duh! That's why we hire limos!!)

The age of consent laws are...unusual for ANY state. Any minor who
has sex with another minor cannot be prosecuted for statutory rape. A
minor is 16 and under. 17 is the middle ground: a 17-yr-old can
legally be arrested as an adult, but can have sex with either minors
or adults. An adult- 18 and up -can have sex with someone 17 or
older. If someone 18 sleeps with someone 16 and the parents find out
and press charges, the 18-yr-old can be arrested on the grounds of
statutory rape.

Last I checked, age of marriage was 16.
Oral sex is illegal in Louisiana, but is encouraged when brought up
against premarital sex.
Louisiana laws say that you can legally marry your third cousin.

Same-sex marriages are not allowed in Louisiana, but they are not
considered a crime. To point, they are simply 'not done.' This is the
Southern Baptist Union's heartland. Homosexuality and bisexuality are
amoral and are therefore considered a moot point- you don't do it, we
don't shun you. In fact, the only time LA shied away from the S.B.U.
was when they boycotted Disney. In the words of a fellow
classmate, "Disney made Mickey Mouse. No one disputes the Mouse."

Sorry if this was a bit longwinded. Later!

I like tara and willow... i think the thing that bothers me about tara is that her character is ignored half the time O_o for the longest time after her demon false-alarm, she didn't exist.. it's really hard to break a character into the group. i started liking her more when she became slightly more prominent, and i'm just hoping that they'll give her character more of a boost soon.. when willow was having the magic withdrawel you never even saw her! she's like willow's sometimes-there sidekick -_- anyway, the point is, her character is real and believeable and i think i'd like her if i knew her, but she just needs more attention! especially when the whole POINT of her character is to be quiet and non-intrusive. but chris davies is right... if the musical episode with the implied oral sex wasn't "risque" enough for you, go watch queer as folk instead XDDD finis ^_^

That reminds me of this:

---THE HETEROSEXUAL QUESTIONNAIRE---
written by 'Michi', originally posted to
AnimeAdult@yahoogroups.com, reposted with permission.

1.What do you think caused your heterosexuality?

2. When and how did you decide you were a heterosexual?

3. Is it possible that your heterosexuality is just a phase you may
grow out of?

4. Is it possible that your heterosexuality stems from a neurotic
fear of others of the same sex?

5. If you have never slept with a person of the same sex, is it
possible that all you need is a good Gay lover?

6. Do your parents know that you are straight? Do your friends
and/or roommate(s) know? How did they react?

7. Why do you insist on flaunting your heterosexuality? Can't you
just be who you are and keep it quiet?

8. Why do heterosexuals place so much emphasis on sex?

9. Why do heterosexuals feel compelled to seduce others into their
lifestyle?

10. A disproportionate majority of child molesters is heterosexual.
Do you consider it safe to expose children to heterosexual
teachers?

11. Just what do men and women DO in bed together? How can
they truly know how to please each other, being so anatomically
different?

12. With all the societal support marriage receives, the divorce rate
is mounting. Why are there so few stable relationships among
heterosexuals?

13. Statistics show that lesbians have the lowest incidence of
sexually transmitted diseases. Is it really safe for a woman to
maintain a heterosexual lifestyle and run the risk of disease and
pregnancy?

14. How can you become a whole person if you limit yourself to
compulsive, exclusive heterosexuality?

15. Considering the menace of overpopulation, how could the
human race survive if everyone were heterosexual?

16. Could you trust a heterosexual therapist to be objective? Don't
you feel s/he might be inclined to influence you in the direction of
her/his own leanings?

17. There seem to be very few happy heterosexuals. Techniques
have been developed that might enable you to change if you really
want to. Have you considered trying aversion therapy?

18. Would you want your child to be heterosexual, knowing the
problems s/he would face?

Hmm... perhaps for being the Yuricon catgirl, I should pack my white
shirt and collar, too ;)

Steve and co-produce a "Lesbian Catgirls of America" calendar and
sell those babies at cons for profit.

Wow i'm amazed at this list. None of you have suggested Willow and Buffy
getting together.
