It's French for "spring" (the season).

has anyone heard or seen any updates on this? i've tried looking but
as i can't read Japanese (i am finally using an audio tape series to

i first heard of this when someone way back was mentioning new anime

really hope there's good news as i've read reviews on the manga and
have been trying to find a local source of which to buy it so i don't

ahhh my mistake then. it was first posted by Andi Spring as a response
to Freddy's post "Hows Is The Spring Looking When It Comes To Yuri"
which said:

I'm not to sure but I think April starts the New Spring Season in
Japan (If i'm wrong let me know). I was just wondering if their is any
news on new Yuri anime coming out soon. I Know Maria-sama Season 4 is
coming out in the summer, more Mnemosyne OVA episodes are coming out
and Mai Otome Sifr as the Fanservice we all hate/love. Any word on more
Yuri anime coming out?

back on Thu Mar 13, 2008 7:50 am.

Andi Spring then responded to that post on Thu Mar 13, 2008 8:13 am
with "Stray Little Devil" :

"Pam was just an ordinary 13 year old schoolgirl until the day she and
her friends tried to summon a devil. Now all of a sudden she finds
herself in a universe where devils and angels exist and she herself
has been transformed into a probationary devil intern. Her only hope
of getting home is to become a fully fledged devil."

Pam meets an angel named Linfa who looks like her friend Rinka from
the human world. The two end up falling in love.

It's a five volume manga series. I bought volume one without knowing
there would be any yuri later on and thought it was pretty good.

so i miss took this as meaning it was gonna be a new anime this spring
as it was responding to a post asking about yuri anime out this
spring....sorry.

There's no word on when the Marimite anime is coming out. Mnemosyne is over.

s.ifr is continuing, as far as I know, and this autumn looks exceptionally
bereft of Yuri.

Subject: OT: We need a Bright Noa acadamy for female characters
mara_papimer

Often in mecha anime if your wimpy guy protagonist is acting like too
much of a git, getting in the way and not kicking ass the way he
should you sent him to Bright Noa.

Bright Noa from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, whose slaps
impart pure gar, badassitude into the receiver. The treatment worked
with Amaro, it worked with Kamile and it even worked with Shinji Ikari
in super robot wars.

Now I think the first step to making good Yuri is to tare down current
female character archetypes (that are often negative) and replace them
with new ones.

So I would like everyone to put forward characters who can impart gar
and coolness into female characters. So that the next time we see a
whining, uninteresting female protagonist we can say: "Need to send
her to XXXX".

Some that I have noticed:

Sato Sei:
If you can survive one year of Sei constantly molesting you then you
acquire the powerful ability to control Ojo-Sama characters. You also
gain the ability to become extremely attractive to obsessives and
tsun-dere. (bonus if they are twin drills)

Toko Aozaki:
Work for Toko if you lack direction. Toko can turn potential suicides
into professional shit-kickers. Work with Toko long enough and you
gain the ability to kill characters voiced by Joji Nakata, who are in
their own right the baddest of the badass.

My opinion? That they'd be *vastly* better off with each other than

Hi
I wonder how die hard yuritards people must be to see yuri in Nana.
It's a great serie, but there is no single thing that might give a
idea that these two are togetgher (ok, I know, ONE scenes of kiss,
made rather for fun). Comparing to this Maria Sama Ga Miteru is
softcore lesbian porn.

LOL.

But to be fair - people see Yuri in everything that has two or more women.
*coughAriacough* It's wishful thinking. It's the inability to differentiate
between Yuri and the many actual relationshios women can have with one another.
It's entertainment. It's harmless, even if sometimes it makes us roll our own
eyes.

I can guarantee you that there's at least one series you think has a Yuri couple
that I don't and vice versa. :-) As crazy as it makes you, you have to be
tolerant of other people's Yuri pairs - and of those who don't "see" the pairs
you see.

Cheers,

Erica

Hi
Of course (Final Fantasy VI CelesxTerra fan is writing it), but
popularity of Nana is interesting. There are series literally filled
with fanserivce and series that are simply good (like Nana) and then
popular among many people, yuri fans included. After all, I find
NanaxNana strange. Nothing personal or offensive, just my curiosity.

My personal totally unsubstantiated couple is Emma Sheen and Reccoa
Londe from Zeta Gundam. Something about how Reccoa asks Emma to take
care of her plants when a) they barely know each other and b) Emma is
still under probation after switching sides from the Titans to the
AEUG.

Welcome lena - we're very glad to have you here.

I think a lot of people would recommend "Maria-sama ga Miteru" (sold as "Maria
Watches Us" here in the US) as a nice romantic series with no fighting.

Cheers,

Erica

And mine is Akira and Alicia from Aria. It flies in the face of (universally
loathed by all fans) canon. I don't care. I am 100% convinced for no reason at
all whatsoever, that they are lovers throughout the entirety of the series. :-)

So, whip 'em out folks - what couples do you insist on seeing as couples whether
or not there's any reason to do so? :-)

Cheers,

Erica

After rewatching the first few episodes with a friend last night, I have
to say Vanessa and Eleanor from Madlax. They're so playfully
flirtatious at the start of the series that my yuri goggles practically
melted. (Particularly when Eleanor says that Vanessa's bound to end up
staying the night...)

Of course, the whole Vanessa/Madlax/Rimelda triangle requires no
goggles whatsoever. :)

Oh, totally. It's so blatant (in that otaku meaning of the word, which is to
say, it isn't, lol.)
