Aha! Very astute Charlie, it was beech - just trying to get my notes to match
the pics.

Not so many leaves to look at now, but on hazel had these two. Is one Stigmella floslactella, and the other Phyllonorycter nicellii? Any thoughts...

Hi Terry It certainly looks like S. floslactella rather than S. microtheriella. The other one - if it's hazel then it's nicellii. It just doesn't look like...
