Hi - does anyone have any experience using the FT-1000MP with packet USB?
I found a site that says how to enable this, but this doesn't seem to work on my
radio.
The tech support guy at Yaesu says that I need to make a connector from my TNC
to the FRONT mic connector. Any experience with this? Thanks.
Eric
You may have hit on something. Can you be more specific as to which relays and
how to fix them?
Thanks!

It could be the antenna relays, i have a a problem but in reverse to yours, my
radio seems to be deaf but one push of the key my radio comes alive, after a
while it becomes deaf again but one tap of the key and it seems the RF clears
the relay and he radio comes alive again.

My MP seems to be having a problem after transmitting. It seems like
either the AGC is acting up or the antenna tuner is doing something
strange. If I listen without transmitting, everything is fine. But
after transmitting (on any band), the receiver comes on like it has 12
to 18 dB of attenuation and then fluctuates between normal receive and
attenuated. The period of time when the receiver has to recover varies
from zero to maybe 10 seconds or so. Then all is fine again until the
next transmission. I am not using the antenna tuner, so this shouldn't
be part of the problem. Also, it does not matter the setting of the
AGC switch (including off). I notice this problem even after sending
one dot (in QSK mode). Any suggestions?
